    Any January 11th sleevers?

I was sleeved on 1/11/16 , I was 64 at the time and had suffered with leg ulcers. This year has been the first time in awhile that I did not have any open wounds. I've lost 100lbs and have to wear compression stockings, but to not have any open sores is glorious. Good luck on your surgery and new life adventure. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

Over 60 and having the sleeve

I stayed 2 nights. I live alone and my doctor thought an extra night would be better for me. I had my 3 mo. check up and all is well .

Over 60 and having the sleeve

I had my 3 mo check up, my surgeon was very pleased with my progress. My cholesterol levels are normal, I'm off of my BP meds and my venis statis wound has healed. So far this decision to get the sleeve at my age has been a wise choice.

Over 60 and having the sleeve

I was sleeved 1/11/16 ,I turned 64 2/1/16. It's been almost 12 weeks and I can see a big difference! My sleeping has improved, I'm walking better, clothes look better....I'm going to start water aerobics soon!!...I getting to understand that this is just a tool, I still have to make better food choices, but I'm ready ,to have my life back.

    TALLAHASSEE SLEEVERS?

It was my choice for the sleeve. She mentioned both and having gone to several of the seminars ,the sleeve just appealed to me. Also being over 60 I was concerned and the doctor who did mine had done several studies on people over 60 and the success rate impressed me. For me the surgery itself seem less invasive than the bypass . I was sleeved 1/11/16 and I'm happy with my recovery.

You are not alone ,we are here for you. I was sleeved on 1/11/2016 .The first two weeks I was very tired but "duh" I just had major surgery and it was important to take it easy so I could heal. 5 weeks post op and I feel great. I don't have a scale so I'm weighed whenI go to the doctor. Since the pre-op liquid diet 12/28/2015 I've lost 49 lbs. I'm glad the scale is going in the right direction!

    TALLAHASSEE SLEEVERS?

I live in Tallahassee and was sleeved on Monday 1/11, I went through the TMH Bariatric Center Dr Lang is in charged. They have support groups, nutritionists, and therapists. The whole team is there. Dr Ramirez did my surgery, he is new to Tallahassee and I didn't have to wait to long. Dr Seiloff and Dr Combs work through the center also. I'm feeling very good and am excited to be starting my new journey.

Over 60 and having the sleeve

Hi my friends , I will be 64 in February. I'm being sleeved on Monday January 11th. It's been tough on the pre op diet . But I know the hard work it will be worth it. I will have my gall bladder removed in the same surgery. I'm praying for all to go well.
  12. Jan 11th is my date too! I had my pre op today and found out I have to get my gall bladder removed. But I'm excited to have spoken to my surgeon who was so reassuring and kind. I can't wait to begin my new life.!
  13. Mine date is January 11th too!!
  14. Hi, Im so glad I figured out how to join this forum? I belong to another online support group but they are so much younger than I am. I've thought about this surgery for a long time. It's almost here. I'm on day 8 of the pre op diet, tomorrow I go for pre op and seeing my surgeon. Does anybody have leg ulcers (slow healing wounds )? I hoping the surgery will help me with this. Its chronic and a pain in the butt !
