Thank you @@#9grammy @@Bufflehead good point about the cheats. I didn't really think about that. I do track but I'm going to be more diligent about it. Thank you! @@KristenLe I agree. I may need more Protein. And I definitely am not getting enough Water, something I'm working on. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

EP8 started following Crossfit/High Intensity Interval Training, Stall last multiple months?, How long after surgery... and and 7 others

Hi there. I'm 8 months post-op and have been at the same weight for about 2 months. I workout everyday. Doing High Intensity Interval Training. I do meet my Protein goals most days and eat healthy with some cheats here and there. I've lost 67lbs. Wondering if a stall can last a few months. Or am I nearing the end of the weight loss. Thanks! How long after surgery did you start running/working out again. I know what my Doctor recommends but I'm just curious. I'm three weeks postop and I feel great I really want to start doing real exercise. I can't take the wait!!

There are bariatric surgeons that advocate plant based lives. To each their own. What matters is ones health right? People achieve health in different ways. Of course someone would get defensive and act all crazy. Chill people!!
-
Dr. Weiner advocates for a plant-based diet. I'm 3 weeks post-op so very new. But before surgery I ate no meat and dairy and still don't. I follow Dr. Weiners advice. I think those who choose a plant based life can meet every nutritional goal they need.

I'm usually a pretty private person but I thought I'd share my experience because at one time I was searching the boards for answers. So I hope this can answer some questions or ease some minds out there. Stats: Surgery date: Jan. 22nd 2016 Dr. Altamirano, Tijuana Mexico HW: 264 SW: 225 Currently 4 days post-op You cannot compare the care and kindness you receive in Mexico to anywhere in the states. I've seen my doctor everyday since I entered the hospital. Every person on staff has been friendly. From the moment I arrived someone on staff has been with me or a call away to help with ANY need I had. I was driven to get Water, to get my mother food, we went to the mall and to a beautiful restaurant. Always with someone. I never felt like I wasn't safe. I felt like I was home(Miami). Most people speak some degree of English around here. It's really just the opposite of what I thought it'd be. Anyone who worries for safety or language barriers-you really have nothing to worry about. The hospital(Florence) was clean and the rooms looked like hotel rooms. Very nice bed for guest and very nice bathroom. Once again all staff was attentive and very caring and friendly. Never waited for anyone or anything. They cleaned the room twice a day. It was great! Dr. Altamirano was wonderful. So friendly and reassuring. He did an amazing job. And his staff was equally amazing. I was pretty nervous and they were calming me down just like a family member would. My incisions are tiny and barely noticeable. Although this part varies from person to person. I am 4 days post-op. I'm able to meet all of my water requirements and some. No gas problems. Walking around like a champ 3 hours after surgery. No pain to speak of. Overall doing really well. Hope this helps someone. Thank you to Dr. Altamirano and his wonderful staff and Bariatricpal Team Mexico!

Crossfit/High Intensity Interval Training
EP8 replied to EP8's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ok I wanted to see if people were doing intense workout routines because I started it a few months ago and want to make sure I can continue post op. Thanks ladies! -
Hi All, This may seem odd to some but I figured someone on here may be able to help me. I'm looking for recommendations on a doctor who does Fillers in Tijuana Mexico. I'll be there getting gastric sleeve surgery, my mom is tagging a long and wanted to possibly get Fillers while we are there. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks for your time!
