I am finally at the end of this long process and went on monday to get my physical done...and of course had to get the dreaded pap....well my dr. called me today and told me that my pap came back abnormal....he said i have what is called severe displasia...and scheduled me for a biopsy tomorrow at 8:30 am...he told me that I have levels that are higer than he has seen....:tt1: I was wondering does anyone know first of all what that all means and if it means that I have cervical cancer or something else does that boot me off the lap band Quest? I know I should only really worry about my test results but I am also terrified that I will not be able to get my lap band....please help me with any info. you have...no matter if it means no lap band for me...I really want to know what to expect. Please reply....thank you so much in advance:crying:

can you tell me what kind of pain if any is associated with the procedure and biopsys? I can handle pain...just that is a delicate area... ooh done having children...have 2 and then tubal...so no worries there

thanks icreyno....i really appreciate your info....I am not yet banded...i pray to be but i believe this is going to set me back a ways....i am going in for the biopsy tomorrow am it is in the dr. office...not sure where we go from there....but you can bet i will be full of questions tomorrow... It is really crazy...i have always been the one that says "aah that won't happen to me" I can honestly tell you I will NEVER say that again

I was bulimic in high school....i did my eval and that is noted in there...i don't believe you will be denied on that basis....but i don't know for exact sure as i am awaiting for my last few things to be done and then submit for approval....good luck

thanks georgia girl....i know i need to worry about getting healthy....it is just so hard to get this news and know that after 2.5 years of trying that it might get taken away from me again....(sugery)...i am just very upset and don't know what to do next....go cry or get mad!?

thanks for the info jackie....i was afraid my lap band would be put on hold...i am still going to seminar and meet doctor...i will ask him then...glad to hear you are doing good...i will know more in 3-5 days yes they checked me or hpv...no results as of yet.... I am going to seminar on this friday...i will post what i find out then...thanks for all the support.... now comes telling my poor hubby....he is a worry wart anyway.... wish me luck

Thank you so much for the site...I just visited it and read the whole thing...and I have the severe displasia...that kind of poped my bubble today....I planned on asking if weight was or could be a factor in this....I sure hope I am able to get my lap band yet.... now don't yell....the last pap i had was.........11 years ago....I never even gave it a second thought....well i am now

just go and click on anyones ticker and it will take you to the site to make one...then it will show you what to do...you will need to copy and paste the "address" to your ticker and paste in your signature field....need any more help just let me know

Contrats!!! I am very happy for you....I am going to my seminar on friday and dr. appt same day...I have all esle done and will just have to schedule sugery then....so hope to have sugery soon....just awaiting my journey....good luck

I am ready for sugery....everything is done...going to seminar and my dr. appt. on 2/1/08. Schedule sugery then....any ideas how to make time pass quicker!! lol:shocked:

I feel for you...I am on the edge of getting ready to submit for approval...seminar on 2/1/08...then I have to contact my center of excellence with UHS and she submitts all my info...my nurse stated to me once I call her and the seminar is done and dr. is chosen she submitts online and I will know within 24 hrs. I sure hope this all works out...got a denial in 06 for bypass...was doing that on my own and was lost...now with new insurance company i have a nurse helping me out with everything....I will never forget one of the first things she said to me is that it is her job to make sure I get the end result I want.... Congrats!! I am not banded yet either...I have everything in order ready to go I am going to my seminar 2/1/08....I was a bypass candidate in 06' and for some reason my insurance carrier then turned me down....my employer since has gone with a different carrier UHS....I am very excited about the ability to get the band...as the previous insurance company would not allow the band only the bypass.... So here I am at the end....actually the beginning of my journey like i said go to seminar on 2/1/08...meet with Dr. Kellogg and I can put my name on the schedule for sugery then. This just seems all to good to be true...I am so excited yet scared that this will get taken away from me again. I will not believe this will really happen until AFTER I wake up and the band is in place.
