That's great! Congratulations! I am in the same boat, finishing up my supervised diet right now for the insurance requirements then will be submitting to insurance for review. Hopefully I will get approval as well. Excited for you, new beginning!

I had my weigh in for 2 me month diet... Apparently I lost few lbs which is awesome and had my psych eval.. With that long mmpi test. They said if I don't hear back from them about it then we are good lol I haven't heard back yet... 1 more month to go for diet then submittal to insurance

So I had my band emptied few weeks ago because of severe heartburn... How can I still get food stuck right now while I am at work with my band empty and this is the food I have had before without problems, as I sit here so hungry in pain and cannot eat....so frustrating...

I am not scheduled yet. We haven't even submitted to insurance yet, until I finish my 3 month diet and psych eval

I haven't had to take heartburn medicine since I had my band emptied. Even with empty band I still can't eat certain things, it's weird. I am almost half way through my 3 month diet, psych eval coming up in couple weeks,not sure what to expect ...

How are you doing ?How's pain? Every day gets better.I am still on full liquid...and the weight is coming off!So far 17 pounds!!!!! No regrets... That is so awesome!

1. My band is now empty I have a follow up in 6 weeks to see if I will still be having issues with gallbladder, then will do further testing. 2. Supervised diet follow up went well. I lost 5.2lbs since December 15th, glad there was no gain:) Can't wait till march 18 to when I will be done with this diet and should have my paperwork being submitted to insurance.

Oh how I miss compliments... One thing I know is when I start getting compliments I am losing weight even though others don't know yet what is going on with me.... That is not the case today... Was just sitting here thinking...its been a very long time since I have gotten any compliments

Going to see my surgeon tomorrow to empty the band... Then to see my other dr and dietitian on the diet follow up. On my scale at home I did lose couple of lbs, so I am hoping it won't show gain on their scale. 2 more months to go until insurance submittal... Can't wait! Haven't had another gallbladder attack this week yet but after I eat meat it lets me know it's there... Does that makes sense? Weird... I will update how things go tomorrow afternoon with the Docs. Thank you for the support!

So I have been very good for past few weeks on my insurance required diet (month1 of 3) but recently I started noticing pain under my right rib radiating to side and to the back, especially after I eat meat. One night few weeks ago it was really bad after I ate something fattier for dinner. I am going to see my surgeon next week to empty my band due to all of the heartburn I'm having, but will also bring this up... Have you had your gallbladder removed prior or during revision surgery?

Wow sure sounds like you went through a lot! I am glad you are on your road to recovery! How was the repair surgery? Did it take a long time? I am in the lap band to RNY revision process, definitely terrified of complications but I am trying not to let it stop me from going something that will give me hope to lose the extra weight I have been carrying all my life.

Hi all, Do you struggle with loose skin? I know some people after losing a lot of weight have lots of extra skin and some don't... Really wonder why is that...

The points you mentions above are mainly my reasons with choosing to do RNY for my revision. Hopefully I will have no issues too

So glad to hear this.... I hope in few months I will be able to feel the same when I get this band out and have my revision.... Few years ago my husband kept telling me that I need to get this band out, but I thought I can make it work.... He was right, I should have started going revision route a long time ago.

I am still in the process of fulfilling requirements for insurance submittal for revision to RNY. I have considered a sleeve, but after much research I have decided on RNY. I wish I had done it from the get go. I feel sleep and band are similar... I feel I have better chance at weight loss with RNY, as scared as I am to go through it... But I am soooo done with band!

Trying to eat lunch while at work... I was eating same thing yesterday and it went down fine...No luck today.... Ugh!!! Cannot wait to have it out.... Natalie
