Day 5: miserable
liannatx replied to Juan2BHealthE's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you are still feeling that bad, and not getting your Water in, you might want to stop the walking for a few days. Let your body heal and recover. Dehydration is nothing to mess with and can land you in the ER. You should be at around the turning point where each day is just so much better than the one before. My first 3 days were the only ones that were difficult, but I was just exhausted for the first 2 weeks. As for the BM... it is common to not have one with nothing but liquids. If you feel that constipated feeling, a suppository (or Miralax) might help. Hang in there, it will get better. -
Good luck! I was also self-pay. I went across the border to Dr. Alvarez in Piedras Negras. I am very happy I decided to do this, it is life changing. I look forward to you sharing your journey and progress. I lived in Harlingen for 10 years. It is so pretty there in the valley, so green... I miss my palm trees, St Augustine, and beautiful yard lol. I now have West Texas bermuda grass and tumbleweeds : (

update on my breast fixing
liannatx replied to CowgirlJane's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Following and waiting for update, lol -
I am not certain, maybe it depends on the surgeon? I had the incisions from Lapband surgery and when I had it removed they used the same incisions sites... when I had it revised to sleeve he used the same incisions areas again plus one tiny new one. These would be good questions to ask your surgeon.

I love the Syntrax Nectars. I like the Cappucinno flavor for Breakfast. I actually like almost all of the fruity flavors, and really like that they are better mixed with Water than milk. -

Cauliflower mashed with some cream cheese and bacon bits. Zucchini noodles with Pasta sauce and turkey meatballs. Bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and cooked on the grill, these are so good. -
For Those at Least 8 Weeks Out - How Much Food is Your Sleeve Holding?
liannatx replied to Pea523's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At 2 months I could eat about 2 to 2.5 ounces of solid Proteins and about 3 oz of softer foods. My main meals were about the same as what @@stacyrg1 listed. -
That just reflects on HER. She is obviously lacking tact, manners, common sense, etc.... I wouldn't let a rude comment from a stupid person phase me. Truly, shake it off and let it go.

How many days off work ?
liannatx replied to Amayor85's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was off for a week, but I personally felt better by getting up and getting back into some routine. It seems like 2 weeks is pretty common though. I felt pretty much back to normal after the first few days, just very tired. -
Very convenient, thanks for sharing! I also prefer the Syntrax and keep some of the single serves in my desk at work at all times.

Alcohol and Weightloss
liannatx replied to Cape Crooner's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I pretty much thought the original post meant Basal Metabolic calories burned... no one would burn that through exercise alone. We are all, or should be, in a deficit right now between our BMR and caloric intake. -
