Hello all, It's been awhile. I lurk from time to time on my phone but I am not on here as much as I once was. Life and work is hectic but all around enjoyable. In the last 16 months of my life I have grown so much as a person in my personal life and also in my career. In the 16 months since my surgery and I am still loving my decision. I feel that with my weight loss I have been able to have the energy and confidence to accomplish all these changes in my life. In the last 4 months I have: Reached and bypassed goal #2 of 140. I am currently at 135 and have even gotten as low as 133! I weigh less than my husband and have and can wear his size 32 jeans! (I have not been able to do this since 2000) Fit and successfully wear a SIZE 6 pencil skirt!! See picture below!!!! **All of this WITHOUT a workout routine! Thank you SLEEVE!** BEFORE: My Weight Chart: >

Lost 100 lbs? Loose skin & Wrinkles??
alegna242 replied to AMLP's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Yes I've got lose, wrinkly old lady skin and I plan on getting a TT and not sure about what to do about my boobies but I went from a 40 H to a now 34 DD so I am glad I lost there it's just the loss of fullness I hate. I don't know if I want implants but that's a long time away. Anyways yes if you lose 100 pounds you'll have lose skin but the body is an amazing unit that with an open mind will surprise you! And like stated above it matters how long you were big and how heavy you were. Genetics help too! I have cheap Irish skin! Good luck! -
Your 5'3 I'm 5'2 and a little. My surgeon set his goal @ 150. I said 150-140 he said not any lower than 140. I'm at 135 now, ... BMI charts say based on a small frame like mine I should be 108-121!! No way! I'd be skeleton at anything less than 120! So a I would think something in the range of 125-150 would be a good range. That's just me though!

16 Months Post Op Update!
alegna242 replied to alegna242's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Thank you thank you all! I'm still shocked to this day when I look at the pictures side by side! I remember with tears in my eyes being on the other side just hoping that someday I could have a before & after not just a before. Now I have not one but 2 afters! (goals 1&2) everyone on that other side just keep your chin up and those that may be struggling or in a stall just keep focused you can & will succeed! Thank you all! -
I drink during my meals. I can't stand not drinking a at least a little when I'm eating. I'm afraid I'll choke! I have gotten an "rut row" feeling a time or two when I feel a slight push downward from the liquid hitting my food but I give it a minute and it passes. I've never experienced a time when I've drank while eating and ended up hungry soon after. I do drink a lot less than before my sleeve while eating but waiting 30 minutes, I just can't!

How long did your Sleeve Procedure take?
alegna242 replied to Ibejjo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon was out and commenting to my husband how quick he was done with me, he said 25 minutes. I guess I shrunk my liver enough, I lost 18 pounds during my 4 day liquid diet and the nervousness leading up to my date. -
Hello everyone. My name is Angela and a year ago today I changed my life. I had the sleeve. As of today I have lost a total 74 pounds. I reached my initial goal of 150 about a month ago and now I am 146. My 2nd goal is 140 and I am only 6 pounds away! I am not sure how low I want to get but as of now it's still not a problem to lose. I have not started any exercise regimen this whole time I just eat well when I can and get out more. This surgery has been a complete success for me and I have had no complications. I do not post on here very much but I do linger from time to time for those with questions. Now for some picture whoring! I've used this one before I don't have much for before. I guess this is my "official" 1 year picture!

Lol, thanks, no my arms are there! They are pretty flabby! My weight was/is concentrated in my boobs, butt, tummy,& thighs, my arms got chunky but never really big so they didn't have as much to lose as he rest of me I really seem to keep losing just fine, its kinda crazy, I'm getting to my 2nd goal of 140 pretty quickly. I do have to say I do get more hungry then I used to. But I keep myself in check as much as I can. I never deprive myself I eat like crap sometimes but I get back on track quickly. That's the beauty of the sleeve it gives you the choice to eat what you want and the option to change you decision if needed for the next time. Thanks for posting
