Australia - Melbourne

Hi Bella, I was given my date last week, 23rd of March! So I have plenty of time to prep. At the time of writing this I was just waiting on my next appointment with the surgery, but aside from that I had jumped through all of the hoops. Having a date certainly makes it feel more real! -

This was great to read! I've been feeling like that the past few days. Thinking "what if I just try this or that again, just to be sure?" This time next year, we'll be so happy with ourselves for going ahead with it. -

Hahahahaa! Those magical apples! -
Vic, Australia! Any Facey groups set up, so we can talk about the important Australian issues, like MKR and The Block?

I have quite fine hair, and not a great quantity of it. I'm yet to be sleeved, and this is one of my biggest concerns! I've spent the last 3-4 years growing out the nasty, brittle, box coloured hair, and reforming it to its long, healthy state. I don't want it to go... But, I suppose it's easier to buy a wig than a skinny suit! Haha

When explaining the sleeve to my mum, I used the term 'tool', she scrunched up her face, as if this is too drastic to be a tool. I said "think of it like sports shoes, wearing them won't make you good runner, but they sure help!" I'm only going to tell people close to me. Family and bf have been very supportive so far, there have been some dumb questions, but mostly out of curiosity. If any of the prior comments come my way from others that find out, I certainly won't pussyfoot around their feelings. -

Hello! In new on board, and although I haven't read this entire thread, it appears you guys have a great support system. I'm in regional Vic so I think Melbourne is as local as I'm going to get! I haven't be given a date yet, which I'm so eager for. I'm keen to prep and get myself going. Hope to see some more posts here in the future. -

Fantastic thread! Just the type of upbeat, proactive info I wanted to read. No date for me, just yet. I'm Vic, Australia, so any Aussie alternatives to the Gas-X, etc, are most welcome! I have no idea what half of the American medicinal aids are, but they must be good, right? Hahaa Glad to see people are still posting.
