Feeling Down Post-Op?
cdsjjotn replied to miss_smiles's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Perfectly normal.. I'm 4 months post op and just like you and many others , had a what the hell did I do time during the first month even 2. Just like you I took care of everyone else and quit food , alcohol and cigarettes all at the same time..yikes!! It will get better!!! Believe me , it's the best thing that I could've done!! After you are off the soft foods and start working out, you are going to feel fantastic! I'm heading towards 60 pounds lost and shopping for new clothes! You did this for you so put yourself first, I know it's hard but it's what I had to do. I had to stay away from the smokers and drinkers for this to work for me, and I've been having a hard time with some friends, some others are supportive thou and those are the ones that you will want to be around. You are not alone -

Yep been there.. Cried and cried asking myself what the hell did you do ??? I scared my boyfriend, for days, the poor thing., we laugh about it now. I know it's not what you want to hear, but give it time, 2 months of adjustment out of the rest of your healthy skinny life is all it is.. This is a huge lifestyle change its not going to be easy, but it sure the hell is worth it !!

How long before a BM? 9 days post op
cdsjjotn replied to RellaBelle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had the diarrhea within a couple of days then no BI for a good 2 wks. After I started solid food it was about once a week if I was lucky. After talking to the dr, I take duralax every night and add a fiber power to my water and yogurt everyday , I do much better now and go a couple times each week. Good luck -
Feeling like a fraud in the "misses" clothes section
cdsjjotn replied to Josey Quinn's topic in The Gals' Room
I am in love with shopping now. I haven't been in a size 14 for over 27 years so yeah I'm super excited to put clothes on now.. I do however still tend to glance over the larger sizes but then say to myself " these are too big on me now" . I guess it is just one of many exciting adjustments we will be making -

Eating habits = no Bueno.
cdsjjotn replied to cmherring's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I ate a few handfuls of peanut M&mms , solution, I threw the rest out. I'm pretty weak when it comes to temptation so I've been avoiding it, plan your meals everyday, Track what you are eating (I use myfitnesspal) and always keep healthy snacks with you for when you have to attend unhealthy work related events. Carbs do go down easy but skinny tastes a whole lot better [emoji106][emoji123] -
Anyone not telling anyone about their surgery?
cdsjjotn replied to taramarie523's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
For work I said I had to have a hernia repair. Only my 3 closest best friends now mainly because keeping anything from them is virtually impossible ! I only told 2 of my family members besides my daughters. Now 4 months post op people are noticing and asking, I simply say I'm taking care of myself by eating high protein low carb and working out. A lot of people around here are doing the protein shakes so I fit right in. -

Hemorrhoids after Gastric Sleeve?
cdsjjotn replied to fling0228's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's common. I'm 4 months post op and I take duralax every night and fiber powder added to my water throughout the day . Even doing this I still only go once or twice a week .. It's frustrating -
