How Has WLS Changed Your Social Life?
cdsjjotn replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I still have the same friends, most have been very supportive and I'm happy to say, have taken a healthier lifestyle also, so even thou I'm not the party girl I used to be, I'm definitely loving life, keeping busy, and still enjoy entertaining! As for the few friends that continue to drink and smoke, they know I can't be around it, not now anyway, I do still struggle with if it and I never ever want to go back to it. So I don't spend a lot of time with them anymore but do still talk a lot and see them on special occasions. I think they understand, and if they don't I'm sure they are calling me a b...h behind my back Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

When did you start protein bars?
cdsjjotn replied to camry2016's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After 2 months post op. My dr says no to them because of the high carb. He recommends only 20 carbs a day till goal and most Protein bars would put you over that. However I do every once in a while have one when I'm doing a long workout or as a Meal Replacement. I have no problem getting them down. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Does anyone's goal weight still leave them "overweight" or "obese"?
cdsjjotn replied to provenzee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My normal BMI is 141. I'm at 181 now which is my Drs goal weight. I'd like to try for 150 (this puts me at overweight) but that is my goal for now Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
hair loss - when did you notice regrowth?
cdsjjotn replied to crazyplantlady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Started losing at 3 months, at 5 months a lot was coming out. I'm 6 months now and it has slowed down a lot, and I notice new hairs starting to grow in. Even though I panicked about all the hair coming out no one noticed other then my hairdresser. She said she sees it a lot when people lose a lot of weight but it does grow back. What Has Been the Hardest Habit for You to Break?
cdsjjotn replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I dip my finger in a sauce and I eat 1 bite of macaroni. I want to make sure it tastes good and/or it's done . I don't do measurements, just by eye only. I track it using the least amount that is listed or whatever is closest just so I'm keeping track. It's just what I do because I want to be accountable I don't consider it a habit that is hard to break, I was just replying to someone that does Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Even though I don't eat most of what I cook or bake now I always want to make sure it's delish !! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

What Has Been the Hardest Habit for You to Break?
cdsjjotn replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My biggest habit was smoking. I'm 6 months post op and still struggle everyday . I know if I ever cave and have just one, I will turn back into a smoker. I miss inhaling. I don't miss the smell, cost, and how it made me feel. So those things are what I tell myself to get through any cravings. I can't wait for the day that it's never a second thought!! I also eat too fast. I found that when I sit with family and friends at a table, I was for some reason trying to keep up with them. I have recently tried waiting for everyone to finish eating then I start my meal. I seem to concentrate much better on how I'm eating.. It's weird I know. I'm going to try that app ' time your bites' Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
