African American vsgers!

It happens to the best of us. So don't sweat it too hard. What I would probably suggest doing if you can, increase your walking time and distance. If you're getting in 30 minutes of walking a day try to increase it by 15 minutes. If you walk about a mile now, start working towards reaching 2 miles in the same time frame. And then 6 to 8 weeks after that another 15 minutes, and another 1/2 mile. Also if you have access to a gym, an elliptical and stair climber will become very useful cardiovascular tools in burning calories and overall weight. They also add just enough change up to your routine that you can sorta trick the body's plateau affect, which should help reduce the stall's time. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App -

Hello everyone, I have a question because I'm very frustrated, I am 5 wks out and stalled at week 3,4 now 5 I gained 2lbs this week.. I am tracking my calories, carbs and protein with my water goal and I even email my nutritionist my food list to reverifying I'm doing everything right. I walk 30 mins a day as they told me. I'm doing everything they tell me but I'm still stuck my loss has been 17lbs since surgery but now 15 since the 2lb gain.. Any advice? I'm starting to regret this! Seriously -
Gaining instead of losing
CuriouslyAmazed replied to NatashaSaysRawr's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 5 wks out as well.. Stalled my 3rd wk, I am meeting my protein and water goal. I even still email my nutritionist my food list daily so she can verify.. I've now gained 2lbs.. Smh.. It does seem like you follow the protocol and your weight goes up, I'm sure it's normal to be frustrated I guess.. Nothing I can do about it at the point! -

travel after sleeve surgery?

Hi, I just had my sleeve on 1/20 my Dr doesn't allow travel by plane or sitting for long periods of time due to blood clots.. I have to wait 8 wks . I would go by your Dr's guidelines, I've noticed it's a different protocol with different Dr's. Best of luck! -

#storibrown I totally get it I can't wait to get to the next stage!! The drain would have been out day of my discharge from the hospital but because I ended up with 3 surgeries at one time he wanted to be sure I got no infection it made me feel comfortable because I could see it. And knew what to look out for..Thank goodness I'm over that part!

Thank you!! I ended up have my drain pouch removed from my stomach 2 days early because I was experiencing shortness of breath, I woke up gasping for air.. My Dr removed the drain and also sent me to the hospital for Ct scans with and with out contrast, X-rays and leg ultra sound to rule out blood clots.. All tests were negative.. I am now resting peacefully sipping on fluids and puréed food.. 1 more week then I can enjoy soft foods. Good luck to everyone..

CuriouslyAmazed replied to MsAshley0307's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm drinking the premier protein shakes, it has a higher protein amount and tastes good just like a milk shake.. It makes it a little easier.. Maybe try it.. I'm day 4 of my preop diet -
