I did the same thing it it normal. I just got tired of it all. My friends & family were like "Do you have any other places you want to eat or things you want to eat before your pre-op diet?" By that time I was pretty happy with my choices, I didn't gain any weight by making sure my portions were small but my cravings for the old foods were satisfied.

So far I've lost 5lbs in 2.5 days

It might be a carb headache you can take a pinch of salt or an electrolyte drink and see if that helps.

I started today too, so far not too bad for me but I can see how it will get old really fast. After Protein shakes all day I am looking forward to some broth for dinner. Is your surgery on the 16th too? I know we can do this, let's kick these two weeks in the butt.

Just found this forum, I plan on walking at work or the gym for the first two weeks. We have gym equipment at work so I plan on lifting weights once I am cleared & then doing daily burn at night after dinner.

For me pre-op it is 45-55 per day

First day of the pre-op diet, I am so excited to start. I know it might be a struggle at times but I know I can do it. I weighed and measured myself to track my progress and am tracking my food in myfitnesspal (I've used the app forever.) The day of surgery I will repeat the process so I can track my progress. A little shock this A.M. as Paloma called me from the hospital saying my driver would be there in 15 minutes. Turns out when I rescheduled my original appointment they forgot to cancel the fiirst one, oops.

I don't start my preop diet til the 2nd I don't start until tomorrow (the 2nd either) I am just one of those weird people who prep when they get nervous. I am sure my coordinator wants to kill me as I asked for directions earlier than the timeline.

Have any of the Feb 16th sleevers gotten your pre-op diet? I got mine last week it is pretty doable; low carb (30-45 per day) then nothing after 10pm on the 15th.

Actually this isn't quite true. You can check a box on the claim form that says the payment has already been made to the doctor and then a check gets mailed to you directly. I used to do medical billing, contact your insurance company and talk with a rep they will help you find the forms and the names of the documents you need to submit your claim. The hospital under HIPPA has to provide you with the records you need to process you claim.

I am having my surgery on the 16th too.

Congratulations that is so exciting! I am having mine on the 16th too!

I am scheduled for surgery 02/16/2016 in Mexico. I am excited to start this journey I wish is was sooner.

I have surgery scheduled with Dr. Corvala on 02/16/2016. Kim is my case worker and has answered so many questions and just eased any fears I have. So far I have enjoyed my experience with them.
