Hi I have a surgery date for Jan 11 th. I am having a revision done because I have several gastric fistulas as a complication from the rouen-y bypass back in 2003. Not sure when the fistulas developed but felt the symptoms about a year ago. Heartburn, nausea in the morning and sometimes after eating and always feeling bloated and hungry all the time. I lost 130 lbs from the original sx. Had twins in 2008. Lost my pregnancy weight gain of only 38 lbs. But all together gained 45 pounds back due to struggling with the fistulas. I had it stitched twice last year through endoscopy but it keeps breaking through. So I am now left with the only option to have the revision. I am prepared to do this all again. I must admit I am scared of all the complications they list now compared to back in 2003. I am having this sx. done with Dr. Singh at St. Agnes and heard such great things on his experience. My other bariatric surgeon fromm 2003 no longer operates and referred me to him. Wish me luck !!!!!
