I had my first fill today and the Dr. explained to me that not to expect restriction with the first fill. He said that the reason they don't fill you to the maximum the first fill is because of the swelling with the stomach. It has to be a gradual process but not to get discouraged with the first fill. You will hit that sweet spot it just may take a little longer. Hang in there.
I am having pain on my left side right above my ovary. Went to gynocologist today because it felt like a cyst on ovary but she didn't see anything on the ultrasound. I am about 3 weeks post op and this pain has just started over the weekend. Anyone else had this? Only notice it when up walking around.
I had surgery on 2-8 and I am having pains in my left ovary area. Could this be gas as well. I've had cysts on my ovaries before but can't really remember what It felt like. Could this be gas I'm experiencing?
I was banded on 2-8-08. Days 3, 4, and 5 were the hardest. Make sure you add some kind of protein to your clear liquids. This will help with the hunger. I tried the Special K protein water and that seemed to help.
I wasn't in a lot of pain. Just more uncomfortable from the gas than anything. Had surgery in Mexico and they gave me Dolace. Someone said it was similar to Tylenol. Not real powerful.
I took a week off. I had surgery last Friday and am planning on going back to work on Monday. I am a physical therapist so lifting is a big part of my job and the Doctor told me to only lift up to 5 lbs. the first week after and add 5# every week. Hope that helps. However, another girl that had surgery the same day as me went back to work on Monday. She has a desk job though.
I am going to Juarez Mexico on Thursday and having surgery Friday with Dr. Jose Rodriguez. My facilitator is Jessica with Belite and she has been great and very informative through the entire process. I am so excited and can't wait to start my new life. Wish me luck and send a few prayer up for me please.
I weigh 193 and BMI of 34 and I am scheduled to have lap-band on Feb. 8. Has anyone had the surgery that is less than 200 lbs.? I am very excited but a little apprehensive.
