A Few Tips From A Slow Loser - Now Past Goal -

Yes! I used to hate ice cream, until I got pregnant with my now 14 year old. Then I'd go years without eating ice cream. For the past year, I've loved ice cream. I crave ice cream. Ice cream! I've even sabbotaged my weight loss with eating ice cream. So, in an effort to curb my craving for it, I found having a sugar free popsicle helps TREMENDOUSLY in that area. If one didn't do the trick, I wait about 10 minutes and have another. It works for me. -

Well, I'd say you'll be a walking hard-on by the time you get to goal! -
Interesting conversation heard in the Drs office

Nope. Depends on how tall she was and if she had co-morbidities too. -
I have a feeling this was a rant but, it's really difficult to tell considering I can't see when one thought stops, and another starts. Please tell me where you are a "dds" so I can be sure to never go there!

Dr Chase (from Australia) in that particular episode was an extreme ass, which isn't the norm for him. The show really is well written but I think for that one in particular they were trying to show the various reasons why people are overweight: over eat, no exercise, medical reasons, etc.

Wow. I wasn't losing and was going back and forth between a few pounds too. My Dr said it was because I wasn't tight enough and gave me another fill. How many fills have you had?

I cannot eat any melted cheese. Cauliflower too.

I use it too with no problems. -
Does anyone also have MS who has had lapband surgery?

I was dx in September last year and banded in April. If you would like, pm me and we can chat if you aren't comfortable on this message board talking about it. -

Great post! Thank you for posting these. -
Are you following the band rules? Are you on liquids for 48 hours after a fill then moving to soft/pureeds working your way back up to regular foods? I had my second fill on Wednesday (banded April 28) and after a few bites of mashed otatos last night, I could not eat any more. I hopefully am at my sweet spot 5cc in 10cc band. (haven't changed my ticker yet)

I'm completely opposite. If I do not remember my dreams, I'm dragging all day. If I wake up and remember my dreams, I feel very rejuventated.

LOL well that makes sense! Don't know why that never dawned on me.

I have hardly lost anything at all (better than gaining!) since my surgery date, so for the fact I haven't gained, I will be happy for. I wish I could say I've lost more than 4 or 5 lbs since surgery, but I can't - yet. I really hope tomorrow will put me more on the fast track to weight loss. Putting this all down like this helps, that I'm certain about. RE: having to wait the 4 weeks; do you HAVE to wait 4 weeks? What happens if you gain, your Dr won't get you in sooner or anything?
