  1. For me it was the heartburn and acid reflux. I had it severely. To the point where it's deteriorated the enamel of my teeth. Mine is a more rare case and you may not get it that bad but know that acid reflux of some sort is common.

    Blood in spit up?

It's been a while since I've posted. I had my surgery December 2015. Didn't really have any trouble to speak of but fast forward to tonight. I ate too fast and I felt a burning pain in my chest as the food passed. I knew it would be coming back up soon but when it did it was accompanied by a lot of bright red streaks of blood in the mucus. It seems to have stopped but this has never happened before. Is this something I need to have checked out?
  3. I'm not sure if I have a constipation problem. But I won't say I'm regular. Pretty watery stuff but that's basically what's coming in as the full liquids are what doesn't hurt.
  4. I'm almost 5 weeks out with a starting weight of 346 and a current weight of 299! I didn't expect how hard it would be to swallow anything! No matter how small the sip or the bite it feels like it slides down very slow. I didn't expect all the dull pain on my left side under my ribs when I ate. I still experience this and sometimes it takes my breath away. I certainly didn't expect to lose this much weight so fast but that goes hand in hand with certainly not expecting it would be so hard to eat and drink just to meet my daily needs.
  5. I have but they keep telling me it's normal. The few close friends I have that have had the sleeve surgery did not experience this. Makes me feel very conflicted.
  6. I feel this dull aching pain on my left side whenever I eat or drink. Sometimes it's so strong it is immobilizing. I can't get all my daily protein in or ever get out of a seemingly dehydrated state because I just can't eat or drink enough throughout the day. This is so discouraging. I'm not even straying from the diet one iota. I love eating less and feeing satisfied, but the pain while eating is not something I expected to this extent. Does anyone else experience this at this point? Does it get better? What can I do to help with the pain so I can at least get my daily limits in without hurting?

    Starting real food today!

Humble, TX here. (Basically Houston). We don't know what winter is. It's in the high 70's... I can't wait until I'm on real food. I'm not hungry per day I don't think but the broth is brutal.
  8. I'm just a day behind you. Had the sleeve on 12/22/15. I'm not feeling what I would consider "hunger" but have a strong desire to be done with broth and liquid Protein. I get strong nausea attacks while drinking either temp. Usually deep breathing overcomes it but sometimes it gets worse and I start to salivate like crazy. Breathing is still key for me to get through it. Coconut Water has been a savior so far. It causes me the least amount of issues and is full of electrolytes.
