Movement is key, for the gas and for your bodies recovery. Get up every couple hours and walk, it also helped to do shoulder rolls while walking. The gas pain is manageable and is different in everyone. Mine stayed around for a little over a week but everyday it gets better. I got out of bed as soon as I woke up from surgery, and walked the halls for 30 minutes with a nurse every couple hours.

Yes everything went perfect. And the pain was not like I was expecting and I'm super happy with everything. The only pain I have now is the gas pain which gets better everyday just remember movement is key. Get up every couple hours and walk even if it's just walking around your house. As soon as I came out of surgery and woke up I got up and walked the halls. I had no pain meds after surgery just when I got home after the gas pain started in. My gas pain has pretty much stayed in my left shoulder and chest which gets worse when trying to eat but it's manageable I promise. It's a bitch but you can handle it. I was in my head a lot before surgery but It was smooth sailing. You'll do great.

I'm so nervous I can't stop thinking maybe I can do this without the surgery and is it really worth it. I have been preparing myself for months and felt really great about it. But now I'm second guessing myself and the surgery is tomorrow.

Update: my surgery went really well also. Didnt take any pain meds at the hospital but after coming home and my first sip of water the gas pains set in and so I started on the pain meds. Walking helps and burping but It's still floating around my upper body. Not fun at all, I can't wait for this gas to leave. -

Here's to all of us having surgery in the next day or two. We will do great lady's and overcome our worries. Breath I'm just remembering to breath lol. -
It's so nice to know that we are not going through this alone. I can't seem to turn my head off I'm so nervous but I know it's the right decision. I've struggled with my weight sense my teen years and always regain it all right back.
