  1. Don't get discouraged! The 3 week stall is a bummer, but you will get past it. Just continue following your diet. RNY 15 weeks out--83 lbs. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. If I had to do again...a sleep mask! I had to stay two nights and since the nurses check every couple of hours, they just flick on the light. Drove me nuts!

RnY on December 2nd. Almost 4 weeks. Not doing too bad. Still having a hard time getting all my protein. I have not even thought about fruits and veggies. I am having a problem eating too fast. I set a stopwatch and other various timers, but I am still going too fast. I cause my chest to hurt because I have eaten too much. Any suggestions? How many ounces of purée should I be able to eat? Also does it hurt if I take a sip of liquid when my meal is finished? Not drinking a lot, but a sip or two?
  4. I am a self pay patient in Memphis, TN. I paid $19,500 for gastric bypass on December 2nd. I was never told ANYTHING about complication insurance. I didn't even know this existed. My surgery was done through a Center of Excellence, so I still had to meet a few requirements that they have people using insurance complete. Overall I met all the requirements (nutrition class) and saw all docs (psych, cardio) and had a surgery date within 2 months.
