Hi My Name Is Jessica Marie. I was sleeved on 12/21/15. As of right now I am 6 days post op. My surgeon was Dr. Ariel Ortiz. Could not have been any happier with him and his staff and the facility at OCC. I have also had a loooong battle with my weight. Always up and down till one point it just kept going up. I Suffer from depression & anxiety which of course did not help with the weight gain if anything it add more to it. I'm in my early 20's and I took this step because I was all out of options. I had tried the "natural/normal" way and did tons of diets, took a ton of diet pills and nothing. The final straw for me was when my health started to take a toll for the bad. Being as young as I am I did not want to put myself more importantly my health at risk. I thought about it long and hard and decided to to the Gastric sleeve procedure. I was ready for a new and happier life style change. I am here Becuase I know this can be very challenging emotionally, mentally & of course physically and even though I have a few close loved ones by my side supporting me it's different when you're getting the support and encouragement by people who have actually gone through it and that is why I am here !
