  2. Havent even thought about any goal weight just yet? As long as i feel comfy and healthy that's my main goal. How long ago were you banded? Did you set goals for yourself? I was 96kg when the pre op diet started and am now 89kg.
  3. I have received the list already
  4. I started on liquid Vitamins yesterday thats what the dietician told me to do actually its banana mango and orange flavors! My gas pain is still radiating through my shoulders which is horrid hopefully it goes soon. Havent used my bowels yet and have taken bowel aids that the hospital sent me home with.
  5. Thanks so much for your replies. I have phoned the doctors rooms and emailed the dietician whom will be in on Saturday to re send me a copy. I best clarify i didnt mean eat solid foods there is no way i would risk that especially with this type of surgery. I meant where they say soup could that be Water thin vegetables and chicken soup as i have that in freezer. But i wont touch it. Till i hear vack from dietician i will stick to diet jelly, Optifast and broth. Does that sound ok? Thank you so much ladies i appreciate it. Am kicking myself for losing this paperwork as its not like me to lose things especially something so bloody important!

    Crushing Medication

I took them whole day after surgery with drink
  7. Hi there I Am finding this site confusing sometimes so just replied to someonw in this post above lol. I am alive! The surgery went well & surprisingly the surgeon said i had a hiatus hernia which would have caused severe heart burn with the band so he has fixed it You are certainly not wrong about the gas pain omfg! Was radiating bad through my shoulders back and chest that us more painful than the incisions! Following surgery most uncomfy was the gas pains they are still there but slowly going. A hot Water bottle has relieved it tremendously. Its the medical gas that they put between your organs so much longer to bring up. I have not felt nausea at all not even after surgery which i am happy about. Could you please help me i have lost mu post op liquid diet sheets. For the first two weeks what should i eat? So far today i have had broth, diet jelly, coffee, herbal clear tea & water. Just took it slowly with each. Hopefully i havent had too much as i dont know how many mls i should have. In my freezer i made up very thin vegetables and chicken Soup and froze them pre surgery - is it ok to have the chicken and vegetables soup its water thin as i am confused when they say no meat or vegetable. Thank you so much for taking the time to contact me and share your experience i really appreciate it.

  11. Thanks for your reply. maybe i felt this way as his bedside mannerisms wernt as good as some but those that have had surgery seem happy with him. hes got alot of experience and masters in it also a lecturer at university so the surgery experience is well up there. i do thi k theres a small part of me that is abit concerned. surgery is tomorrow i am scared. is there a sore throat afterwards? and the port hole? i am so scared of needles.
  12. Hi everyone Have started my ore op.diet today. Am feeling nervous us this normal? I am on shakes but can eat vegetables as well and salad but no carb vegetables. I thought it was suposed to be liquid only but dietician said this was ok. The fear of the unknown is kicking in

    Two weeks away from surgery

Thank you so much for your reply and advice. I will make some liquid soups up and freeze them prior to my op. one more week left. my jaw feels abit tight on this liquid diet am guessing its probably the withdrawl from all carcs ans sugars.
  14. Thank you so much I feel more at ease i was worried maybe i have choosen a specialist whom is dodgy.
  15. thank you i feel more at ease now
  16. Am a week away from being banded - Something i didnt think about. I was asked yesterday what my surgeon said my goal weight should be. We didnt discuss any of this. Is this normal? Should i be concerned? From what I have been told by others my surgeon is a good surgeon but doesnt seem to have the best bedside mannerism. He was friendly to me discussed my eating habits and band but as for other details nothing was mentioned. I plan on going back to the specialist for follow ups and refills but as for goal weight etc i can do that myself or go to my doctor. I do have two dietician appts booked in through my specialist rooms. is there any thoughts?
