I use the Bariatric Advantage chews also. All I have had were Carmel and they aren't bad. I will have to,ask my NUT about B1.
-
I was sleeved yesterday and came home the same day. The pain is manageable. Hoping it goes away soon.

I'm five days post op. I go for labs at 2 weeks. I am taking a multivitamin, B12 and Calcium.
-
Is B1 typically in a multivitamin? My NUT didn't mention it.

Any 12/21/15 sleevers: How are you doing?

I don't really have a puree section in my diet. What exactly are you pureeing? Do you just take a whole small meal and blend it? I can have cream soups (like cream of mushroom), which pretty much pureed. -
That's quick... Best of luck to ya!

Do you mean B12?

That is the reason I can only have certain crackers. Saltines and Ritz are a no-no. I can however have triscuits, as they don't create that doey ball you refer to. Not sure on the bread. I sure do miss my subs...

December 31st survey date, anyone?

Shot glasses of water for everybody! -
2goldengirl is correct. You need to follow your surgeons routine. That being said I am allowed to have certain crackers 1 week out. Very limited choices. Pasta and bread is five weeks out.

I must say it is quite amazing the different diet regimes each surgeon has. 1 week liquid, 2 week liquid, puree, etc. You would think at this point there would be a regimented system that everybody would use. -

I'm feeling pretty good for the most part outside of being tired. I am finally getting all my Vitamins, Protein, Water, etc that I should. I still have a lot of "grumbling" in my stomach. The more I eat the more it seems to disappear. As far as weight. I started my preop diet on 12/13 and lost 17 pounds. Since surgery I am down 20 pounds. I actually put on "real" shorts yesterday and they weren't tight, which was pretty cool. I am getting tired of the liquid diet lifestyle... lol. I start mushy food on Wednesday -
Note to self... Always test try multivitamins at home first.... :/

Bariatric Advantage makes a chewable I believe. Advanced Multi EA. It was approved one week post op for VSG. Not sure if that helps ya.... I don't believe Iron comes in a liquid format. Iron is a mineral, so I don't think it can be liquid. I could be wrong.

Try a heating pad for your upper back. I fell asleep in the recliner my first night home with it on and had very little issue with that since. The nurse recommended it at the hospital. -

All of the unjury products seem to get really good reviews. I can't get it locally that I can find as of yet. I can get isopure at GNC, so I might try that with some chicken broth. I do three shakes a day, so I start first thing in the morning and drink 2 ounces (Todd use for the shot glasses I can't use anymore) and then set the timer on my phone for 30 minutes. Take my shot and then repeat 30 minutes later. Probably gonna switch to 20 minutes tomorrow, so I can get my Water intake up. I'm going crazy tonight and gonna have a sugar free Popsicle.... -

My dietician told us not to stock up on stuff, so I didn't have much. I did purchase a kit with vitamins and such, but the shakes are getting old. Thinking about some good chicken broth with plain protein powder. -

What is everybody's week one Protein and Water goal. Mine is 100G and 48oz of liquid/water. I was sleeved on the 23rd and have yet to hit the protein goal. I am drinking nectar shakes, so I need 4 of them which is hard. I am switching to a new one which will only require three. -

My surgery date was 12/23 and I had a lot of the same symptoms you had. I was taking pain meds on an empty stomach the first day, which I think caused a lot of stomach pains. I still get some gas/pressure/pain in my stomach on occasion. I think it's my stomach adjust acid output or something. May I need some Prilosec or something? Christmas was hard, but I was prepared. 2 days out from surgery I wasn't really interested in eating. Protein shakes were hard enough to get down. I am around 60g protein and 40 ounces of liquid. Need to get the liquids up some. -
Wow, I was drinking water in the recovery room.
-
In all the questions I had I never asked that one. Not sure how I missed it. I believe they did the leak test while in surgery. Dr. Hart is very well versed in sleeves. I think United Health Care does allow a hospital stay, so you are gone within 23 hours. Once I urinated and walked I was pretty much ready tand go.

Thank you. Looks like you have made a lot of progress. Congrats!
