    getting frustrated

Question: Did you have your surgery in the US? Or Mexico? It matters!!
  2. The same thing happened to me. I was consistently nauseous for 5 days and I went to the ER 3x and begged for fluids because I could not eat or drink anything. Then it just passed..
  3. I believe that we DON'T change at our core because that is set based on out morals, values and beliefs. However, there is a major change in my personality. Having been discriminated due to my size and appearance, I am more confident, hopeful, and while always happy, even more so. Also, because my health is great, I have more energy, and am exponentially more active. Now, that said, I have new associates that I've met at the gym and at various activities, because my longtime friends are still inactive, like I used to be. However, I still love my friends and spend a lot of time with them. However, because I don't want to make a big deal over my weight loss, when they comment, I just say thanks and tell them how much healthier I feel. Even though I am excited to pieces over the weight loss, I don't call attention or make over the physical change because I am sensitive to their struggles.
  4. 216 when discharged after surgery on 1/7. Now I'm 185. I'm excited.

Yay! A Place for January Sleevers

I had surgery 1/7/16. Weight at discharge was 216. Today 186.1. I've slowed on purpose. I don't want kidney stones.
  6. Valentina, I love your response. Thanks for that!!!
  7. My highest weight was 230. Surgery date was 1/7/16. Weight at discharge was 216. Today, 2/15/16 181.1. My height was 5'3.5"
  8. So do you pay the $4088 the day of surgery? Sent from my SM-G530T1 using Tapatalk No. I paid $250 deposit before 12/31/15 and they discounted by $100. I brought the balance in a cashiers check of $3738.00. I gave it the day of the surgery, 1/7/16. I have to document my experience so I'm writing a documentary. The Healthcare System is superior to thee US in so many ways

I am an attorney. I find myself giving to everyone who can't pay and often going without myself. Well that is changing, While I will always have a heart for others, In December 2015, I decided to think about my own health. I'm scheduled for the gastric sleeve in 3 days and I am so very happy about that. I am travelling to Tijuana for the procedure and I am also getting long overdue dental work and vascular work done. I had Blue Cross Blue Shield and it did not cover anything... after all those premiums. Wow!!! I just happened to have the WRONG plan.
  10. My insurance did not approve the surgery, so I am Tijuana bound on 1/6. My surgery is 1/7, and while was excitedly anxious, I am now a little scared, but blessed to be able to pay for it. My surgeon is Mario Camelo Ramos, and I a having the surgery at the Florence Hospital. I am excited. I went through Medical Tourism Corporation and they are also scheduling my dental appointment and vascular appointment. I am so very excited to have this opportunity.
