  1. Sleeved 12/15. I was 365ish. Im 270 now. Been stuck here for about 5 months now. I decided if I cant lose more at least i can maintain and enjoy the weight I did lose but it is still frustrating.
  2. So I've been using the patches pretty much since day one. My 1 month, 3 month and 6 month labs have all come back fine. My iron has always been low and that is even up to normal levels. I don't know how much is the patch helping and how much is from food/drink but it's working for me and the Dr. is happy with the results.

    Dec sleevers?

    I have some walnuts/peanuts/sunflower seeds around for desperate snacking. When I'm craving sweets I have some power crunch bars in chocolate mint. otherwise I have lunch meat as a snack. I got some really thin sliced pricey lunch meats and I eat two slices, normally wrapped around a little piece of cheese. I did get some grapes last week and put them in the freezer for a while so they were really hard and that was the best treat.
  4. I'm 11 weeks out, I go to the gym for at least an hour 5-6 days a week. I work with a trainer two days a week, the rest is me doing the treadmill/elliptical and weight lifting. I've added the rowing machine in recently, so far so good. The trainer is kicking my butt which is really helping keeping me motivated and pushing past what I'm just comfortable with and trying new things

    Constipation

    I'm with you, I had to cave and use real laxatives. Smooth Move tea was so gross I couldn't even drink more than a sip or two, Milk of Mag wasn't cutting it. I do take Probiotics daily and miralax but it still wasn't helping. It's horrible.
  6. I'm 11 weeks out (and a day). sleeved 12/15 I'm doing well with the diet, still struggling with fluids. I'm able to hit at least 40-50 oz a day but can't seem to ever get to 64 oz. Therefore I'm dealing with constipation all the time. So fun.. at least I'm losing still though

  8. My Dr said he likes the patches and has seen good labs with them. The NUT hates them. So there you go....
  9. 1- that I can't drink plain Water anymore. It hurts my stomach. 2- that getting in enough fluids is the hardest thing ever. I don't think I've ever hit 64 oz yet but I just keep working on it. 3- Decaff tea is the best thing ever- cold or hot 4- that I would have so much trouble with pooping- seriously. it's a job making that happen. 5-that there would be so little pain and recovery would be easy. I expected the worst. 6- losing enough that working out hurts so much less already. That has been a great bonus!

    Irregular period

    Mine started 2 days after surgery, it was normal. Then the one this month was OMG! I had to get online here and read about periods it made me so nervous but thankfully it didn't last long. I'm a bit worried about next month now.

    I'm in Kansas, got sleeved 12/15. The first week was not the most fun but it gets better! Like Marcia said, just rest whenever you need too, focus on drinking and the getting better will happen.

    Eggs or a shake for breakfast. Today I added some cheese and ham to the eggs. Lunch was a bit of tuna. Snack of walnuts and sunflower seeds. Dinner was fajita chicken diced with refried beans. Yesterday i had some green beans with lunch. Soft stuff still

  16. When did your Dr say you could have any sort of bread, crackers, rice, Pasta again, if ever? I'm curious because mine is very limited on a forever basis but I've seen others having crackers at 3-4 weeks out.

    I feel you, I was sleeved on the 15th and until I could move to the smooshy soft foods I was a mess. Not hungry as much as I felt weak and tired and yes that facebook page for December is a GREAT resource.

    How to determine a goal weight?

    My Dr said shoot for 50% of weight loss but that it really depends on so many factors that it's hard to say.

    Bread/Crackers

    I'm not sure why the need to remind someone to follow their Dr's orders when the thread clearly is asking out of curiosity. That makes sense, that you can only have certain types. I wouldn't have thought about a doughy ball that someone had to remove. That's crazy.
  20. I have a glass of decaf green tea, hot in the morning to replace coffee. that is about 6 oz. then drinking out of my 24 oz Water bottle during the day. It is a challenge to stop 30 min before eating and wait 45 min after eating. Then I make sure that I'm drinking at least two of those 24 oz bottles during the day/night. it is a challenge but my Dr keeps reminding me that the shakes have water in them (I mix the shake with ice for a smoothie type drink). So just keep plugging a away

    December 14th Sleevers

    I was sleeved 12/15, I had to avoid the kitchen at all the Xmas family events. I was able to eat a few bites of unbuttered mashed potatoes, I made myself a shake and had that the rest of the day. thankfully my whole family and husband's family all knew so it was easier. Tomorrow I get to start soft foods, so tuna here I come!

  23. The Bariatric Advantage chewable made me gag every time I tried them, so I changed to Patches. I haven't had the lab work done yet to see how they are doing but at least I'm not gagging daily and throwing up.
  24. Where or how is a good way to keep track of how much protein I'm getting in? It was easy when it was just shakes, it says it on the package but now that I'm starting to add in smooshy foods I wonder if anyone has suggestions.

    Thanks. I guess what I'm wondering is where you find the Protein amounts of food, is there somewhere that you use that seems accurate and easy to use? Right now I'm still eating things that are pretty easy to find the amounts of but I'm just curious.
