For your birthday, you and a good friend or mom should go out for a fabulous spa day! Massage, mani & pedi....and you know they won't feed you icky things..and it would just be relaxing and enjoyable! Afterwards, some shopping and stop somewhere for a yummy drink! Oh yeah, and more shopping!

    Ot Just Ordered Mineral Makeup

I just love my Bare Minerals....since I have really dry sensative skin, I was scared to just by the kit for $$$...so....EBAY BABY! I paid very little for 1/8 - 1/4 t of about 20 eyeshadows and then some 1oz pots of a few light foundations. I especially love the eyeshadow, and I always have to moisturize my entire face before putting on anything, so the foundation really looks nice and the Bisque covers so well those little broken caps in my cheeks. If my skin is having a 'snaky' day (aka scaly) I pass on the foundation. But check out Ebay for some great samples!
  7. Dang Laura!! So sorry to hear about this, but glad that the doctor doesn't seemed concerned ~ hopefully he gave you some more giggle pills though!! Hope it feels better soon!

Hi Angie, I'm a newbie here and hope to be banded after the first of the year ~ I look forward to learning from your journey! Tell your partner to take good care of you! (Nothing quite like a little extra pampering!) :cheeky

    Scar Stages Share yours!

Dear God! Staples?! I was leaning towards Dr. Barker until I saw staples ....just more scars to go along with the cut scars? I know there's a reason that he uses them, and those teenie scars are NO comparison for the goal. For those of you whom had staples, can you really see the staple marks now that you're healed?
  13. Howdy from Texas, y'all! I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone, especially since I've been lurking! :nervous My name is Karen (aka The Cheeky Band Geeky ~ and yes, I was truly a different kind of band geek in highschool & college!) I'm looking at getting banded after the first of the year here in the N.Tx area. I've been doing alot of homework on the band and ready various forums, and I have to say ~ this is ABSOLUTELY the best forum on this subject! It's nice to be here and ALL OF YOU are a wonderful source encouragement! Upon looking at the scar pics, before/after pics and just reading how supportive you are to each other is truly amazing and so very comforting. I look forward to participating as well as I can until I get banded!

    New in Texas

I just joined the board last night! I too am in Texas (Frisco, near Dallas) and was looking at going to Mexico because I'll be a self pay. Well, I found wishcenter.org in San Antonio charges almost $11,000...also Dr. Barker here in Dallas quoted me appx $13,600. Of course, you know there are going to be little charges here & there for pre tests etc....I look forward to learning all I can on here! Welcome!!

    New to the group!

I'm looking at Dr. Wade Barker in the area and then I saw that someone here used a Dr. in Lewisville, TX (VERY close to me). I was going to go to Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana, but with my other health probs (asthma, migraines, bad knee, etc), I can't risk any issues with US doctors not wanting to help me if there was an issue, plus, it's not exactly easy for me to get down there. I've been emailing the doctors in the area to see what their costs are and going from there. I have Cigna and I know they're horrible to pay for Lap-banding, so I'll be a self pay. I'm looking SO forward to being 'one of y'all'!
