I don't drink very much and really only tried alcohol after banding a month ago, twice since then. I had a vodka-cran and a shot of tequila each time. Yum.

Wow, this post was meant for me too! I have been not logging on to lbt because I have been hiding out, exercising infrequently, and eating ice cream. Shame. I never liked ice cream very much before banding, but it goes down so easy and curbs sweet cravings. As of today, I will no more depend on the ice cream!!!!!! Thanks everyone.

OMG, I am so happy for I almost started crying. GO MAKE BABIES!!!! I was told I have to wait two years (so not fair). Keep us updated. You are doing such a super job, keep up the hard work. YAY, BABY! -S :tt2:

Well, only five? Not too bad. lol. I have limited myself to only buying items of clothing that are (1) a smaller size that I was before banding (2) less than $20 per item, and (3) appear to be wearable if I go down another size. As for shoes, well, I tell myself I need to focus on flattering my new body instead of my feet. But I swear to you I will someday buy heels (I <3 Steve Maddens) as soon as my feet are proportionate to my body and it doesn't hurt my feet to carry myself in heels. PS, you are looking great! Wonderful job. =)

I think there are some posts on pbing if you do a search. But, I once had that question too and found out just enough to know it when I experienced it. I understand it to be a productive burp. I experienced this after my fourth fill when the restriction REALLY was felt. I ate some chicken breast which was too dry and I ate it too fast. My stomach made this slimy stuff that came up my throat and I burped out this slime with a few pieces of chicken (and broccoli) into a towel. This also came with stomach spasms and a wicked case of the sweats. Phew. It only lasted about 10 minutes. Not a pleasant experience, but it set me straight on using my "tool" (the band) properly. I think that is what pbing is, but others may have a different explanation. Don't let this detour you from banding if you haven't already because it just kind of set me straight. I learned what and how I have to eat to avoid it. Best of luck! <- ha, that was me. lol.

Getting off birth control for surgery???
Danikagold replied to AngelWhispers's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
that is odd, i have never heard that. i was on yaz before surgery and am for 2 years after. i think my doc is anti band baby. -
My nurse lady said it is a stomach spasm. If you are like me it happens during or after eating, or drinking water (I say water bc we don't really drink anything else, lol). It is crazy isn't it? Nurse lady said, eat or drink slower becuase constant spasms could mean the band is too tight. It is kind of a signal to me to slow down. =) best of luck.

Oh yeah Crystal. I remember that. I can't wait for Christmas and your pictures. Good for you!

Okay, a work outfit and a summer dress. I know I may never look like that, but I am sure I will be damn sexy soon. The white summer dress is my fav. I have longed to wear a white summer dress for as long as I can remember. I am going to take my husband and my dress to Puerto Rico someday.

Wendys chili??
Danikagold replied to KayleighsMommy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A small Wendy's chili (only eat about half at a time) is my quickie. I love it. I never did blend it, even on the mushie stage I just chewed it well. I really feel in touch with my band and my body, so I kind of know what I can do and can't do and pick up on any signals as I am going. -
Banded Yesterday-OMG do I hurt
Danikagold replied to norouteplanned's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I know, you feel inside "What did I do to myself?" It will get better. I am just starting to feel completly normal after four months. This includes sit ups and rolling around in bed, getting up quick, etc. You can do it! -
Gratz on the 75. That story made me flippin mad. You should bring it up and ask her if she has any feelings about your lifestyle change that she needs to talk about. Arg, don't ever tell me where you work, I would fly over and set her straight.

Well my AF has been out of town since banding. She just came to visit today and let me tell you we have had such a great time getting to know each other again. lol. You'd think that bc would keep her on a steady visiting schedule, but the weight loss has really shocked my body. I had never read anything about more tightness when AF is visiting but it makes sense. I also was recently filled to 5.5 and felt very little restriction until this last fill. I finally understand everything I learned about the band.

I have been losing a lot of hair since the three month mark too. I talked to my surgeon yesterday and he said Protein or not, my body is going through major changes and when a body does, it natually sheds massive amounts of hair. He said it will come back, but keep up on the protein, Water, and exercise just to be safe. It is probably natural to worry, but remember our bodies are in shock and we will return to normal. On a lighter note, has anyone thought about counting how many hairs they lose a day? I have thought about counting what I pull out in the shower and then when I brush through, but have not. I thought it could be silly. Best of luck everyone. We will make it!

I am not in the area, but I would suggest that if you go to your PCP and he/she is not on board, find another. Your team (PCP, surgeon, psych, nutritionist, etc.) should all be on board for the same goal. Good luck!

Just sittinging here I can't fell my port or band. If I press on my site I can feel my port. I can feel my port stretch if I am doing weird twisting which I probably shouldn't be doing anyways. When I do sit ups I hold/press on my port for some reason, I guess it just makes me feel better becuase I can feel the pull.

Congrats! Aetna is a tough one and you made it, luckily my work changed from Aetna to BCBSMA after my Aetna denial You will be an inspiration to others. Happy Banding!
-
I feel the same way. I am so uncomfortable all day long during work or other activities with others. I chew a few of the gas-x tabs but, it doesn't take care of it completely. The only thing I can think of is that it is all of the protein.

Get the ball no matter what you mother says and try it exercising first and when you are ready, sex it up. lol. I like the ball idea. -
Semi-Embarrassing Question For The Ladies... (Sex-Related)

Wow Nikki, thanks. I didn't even think about nekkid like that as a NSV. You are so right! What a boost. =) -
Curious if anyone has tried the new "Fit Flops"? They are $50 at Macy's and am interested in your thoughts before dropping that kind of cashola. The FitFlop

Thanks kjeter, I am about at that same size. So, if there is someone out there, let us know.

Heartfire. I think I have it easy compared to you. Yours sounds pretty darn bad. Is surgery an option for you?

Here is a link to costco online. Do you have a family member out of the area with a Costco card number you could use? I have not ever bought anything from Costco online, so I am not even sure if you need a membership card. Best of luck to you. Costco - Natural Liquimax™ Multivitamin Formula 32 Fluid Ounces

Thanks Heartfire. That article proved pretty much what I thought, but that is okay. I have bone spurs on my left foot but they are not too bad. I can fly up and down the stairs in these things because of all of the cushion. I don't really expect to turn into miss sexy legs, but every little bit helps.
