Confessions from one who did not follow preop diet diet
Support Sisters replied to bigguy928's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Brave to tell your story and inspire others to follow the diet! Good luck on the rest of your journey -
Yes similar! You will be fine. I had mine out after I lost weight years ago. It happens, take care of it. Only negative will be limits to your exercise post surgery but you will be back to normal eventually!

Help feelings of regret
Support Sisters replied to marroyo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved same week as you... What is your progress? Doesn't that give you a sense of accomplishment? Feeling good helps feel good about your decision. Last night I went to a fantastic steakhouse and I could only eat a small amount - i wanted to eat more so at that moment i had some regret but then i saw myself in the mirrors in the bathroom and regret gone! -

Afraid work will make me delay surgery......can they?
Support Sisters replied to Mary2016's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do you get FMLA? Then they can't stop you and job is protected. Make up another reason why you need surgery (emergency gallbladder is a good one or something gynecology no one will ask more questions) Work does not need to know your business. -
Feeling very uncomfortable about compliments
Support Sisters replied to BCs 1000's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I generally am happy when people notice and compliment... I just don't like the "half your size" or " you look like a different person" compliment. I am still me and you don't have to remind me how fat I was. They are just trying to be nice - sometimes I say " you are embarrassing me" to get them to stop but most of the time I just say thank you and smile. -
Surgery W/ No Cpap
Support Sisters replied to nervousnelly719's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They didn't use my machine during surgery itself. I did have it for nighttime but it's not like I slept much in the hospital anyway. -

Self-Sabotage & why I eat crap
Support Sisters replied to Ruth1ess's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Love these posts! I am 2.5 months out and 55 pounds down - I am good at losing weight and I feel great! I am trying to understand why in the past I couldn't keep it off- what is the difference this time? Why do I love crap food so much. Why do I get lazy and sabatoge all my hard work. Hope I can figure it out before I do it again. -
C25K speed question from a very novice runner :)
Support Sisters replied to walkinggirl's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I did week 1 - walk 3.2 Andy run4.2 and I was ok - tried week 2 and I couldn't do it - I went back to walking 3.5 for now - I think I need to lose some more weight first and then I will try again. In -
I had soft tuna before I left hospital- you will be fine just take it slow - start with 2 oz. I am 2 months out and doing great with all foods.

I am 2 weeks post op and joined a gym today. Last week I just walked 30 minutes around the neighborhood just to get started. Today I did 2 miles/40 minutes on treadmill and it felt great. I also bought a Fitbit so I can track my steps ( 10,000 steps is my goal every day) just start walking and ease your way in the rest over time

I was sleeved on 12/14 and I was allowed puréed food the next day. Still have 1 protein shake/day to help meet protein goal. I actually successfully went out to dinner tonight and had broiled sole. It was yum! You will like the next phase and should be less hungry. Good luck!

I was sleeved 12/14 too! My doctor allowed purée foods right away but need a protein shake every day to help me get to 60grams protein goal. I feel great, just a little itchy. Liquids gets easier every day. Can sleep ok on my side. Overall it's been much easier than I expected. Happy. Holidays!

Any Second Thoughts while on pre-op Diet?
Support Sisters replied to tcshrink's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From my two week pre op diet to one week after surgery (today) I am down 22 pounds - and I was about your height/weight - there is a motivator! Good luck!
