I am from upstate ny and have CDPHP apparently they are easier then most m, they don't require any supervised diet so if you meet the criteria boom you're in. I thought I had it In the bag with my high blood pressure. My sister had surgery last year but her bmi was 40 (same ins) with no issues she seems to think on appeal from the doctor they will approve me she thinks it's just a formality that the denied me. I will def keep this updated!!! And if anyone has any similar situation if love to hear any advice. I don't know if I could afford self pay, NY is crazy expensive for everything!!!

I just got cleared, waiting on the insurance approval but expecting a June date too!!! Hopefully I'll know within the month, it's tough- I see everyone getting cleared and getting April dates but apparently my surgeon is popular. I guess that's a good thing!!

I don't exactly have pcos (formally) but I had lots of hair on my chin. I opted for laser removal (on my legs too) and it was the best $$ I've ever spent!! I used to shave/pluck but felt like everyone could still see it. With laser you can't tell the hair was ever there!!

I haven't made the decision to have surgery just yet so the only person who knows I've had a consultation is my sister who had surgery last year (and is doing awesome btw). I don't think I would tell anyone outside my close circle of family BUT I just started dating this great guy in October, has anyone had this situation where you have a significant other who might be freaked out by telling them you're having this surgery? And did they take it well? I will also say I am not morbidly obese -I am slightly obese but with co-morbitities so it might be a surprise to him that I'm even considering it. Just looking to see if anyone else has been in this predicament. Thanks!!!!
