one of my friends referred me to mercy hospital for the surgery. I was amazed and very appreciative that there was a hospital that accepted medicaid. I was totally frustrated with myself and how large I had became. I knew how to lose weight but not how to keep it off. I had lost 100lbs before and kept it off for three years(gained it all back and some more) but i fed into my emotional eating. I had the surgery and strated working out 5 days a week 2.5 hours a day. this contributed to my real weight loss. I realize that the band did limit my eating but I still have to deal with my head hunger and emotional eating. although I have l;ost some 84 lbs. I still struggle with my eating habits. I just got a fill on last week and I feel I am at my "sweet spot" for a while. I pray that i lose 83 more lbs. I thank God for the lapband surgery but I must remember it is not a quick fix just a tool to assist me on this journey
