I had a reaction to morphine pain pump after both csections and opted for something else they injected into my IV. Less itchy but for the life of me I don't remember what it is called. But it was good stuff!

Freaking out feeling awful!
ocgirl15 replied to sleeveitobeaver's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Many gain significant weight from swelling and IV fluids post op. I was heavier than before surgery for a couple weeks. It does get better. Soon your energy will bounce back and the pain will ease. Keep your fluids up and get your protein. Like Babbs said you just had major surgery! And soon that scale will start moving! -
Anybody else on liquids only for tomorrow (Thanksgiving)?
ocgirl15 replied to Rachel412's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
This was my Christmas last year... But close to a year out now and I am at goal, normal BMI, all health issue resolved and a size 6.... This sacrifice is so so worth it. -
I am close to a year out and can have about 2.... Any more and I act like an idiot. I am a cheap date. I didn't drink much until I was at my personal goal.

Had to Abruptly Stop Taking Cymbalta After Surgery; Having Medication Withdrawals
ocgirl15 replied to AweLauren's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I should add I was under the care of Doctor during this process and temporarily took Wellbutrin to take the edge off. Call your doc and see what they recommend. -
Had to Abruptly Stop Taking Cymbalta After Surgery; Having Medication Withdrawals
ocgirl15 replied to AweLauren's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a month of lowering the dose before going cold turkey. I still had horrible brain zaps that were miserable. Hoping you get through this I know how you feel : ( -
I need a MUCH better fig leaf!

Under Armor boxer briefs would be my suggestion. My husband finds them comfortable and supportive and I think they look good. Win win! -

Has Anyone Been Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia Before Having WLS?
ocgirl15 replied to Serena89's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I was diagnosed before WLS. I am now at goal the fibro is mostly gone after WLS surgery. Also off cymbalta that I was taking for it. Never take anything stronger than Tylenol now. Sure I get achy on occasion but is infrequent and mild compared to before. The fibromyalgia actually diminished before a lost a ton of weight. I think my old diet was the cause. New eating habits.... New pain free woman. -
I was a 40 DDD and now I am a 36D at goal and a normal BMI. I look great in clothes not so much naked. Back feels so much better and overall I look better. DDD at 5' 1" was not a sexy look.

Election Night Menu? 'Must See' TV
ocgirl15 replied to Dr-Patient's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Maybe pop some Xanax and just skip it.... Just kidding.... I am going to avoid and emotional and stress eating!!!! -
Oh my where do I start... Well it was Halloween and now I have post Halloween blues! The parties, the decorations and choosing costumes, trick or treating has dominated my last 6 weeks. Now it is over and I am stuck in the house with my kids candy! On to Christmas! I am also into the walking dead, Star Wars (obsessed with Rouge 1), shopping for cute cloths and anti wrinkle products (prob need to start a post on that) and sadly this election. I think it is seriously causing me anxiety! Can't wait until it is over.

Catheter question?
ocgirl15 replied to SuperJenn529's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wasn't Catheterized for WLS. But with other surgeries they did it after epidural or anesthesia. I have only felt it once during a test from a urologist. Ouch! I fear the thought too! -
How does everyone deal with the social pressure to eat while eating out?
ocgirl15 replied to Travelher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I usually say how delicious it was and ask for a container before the waiter can get a word in. -
Cake or no cake? Cake substitution?
ocgirl15 replied to Boudala's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will have cake again after your at goal and in moderation of course . But at 18 days out stick to your plan. Others have provided some great substitutes. My kids insist on getting me cakes... Even at 11 months two bites and I am done. It has little appeal now. This is not the ideal food for everyday post WLS... But a better option than actual birthday cake https://www.yoplait.com/product/greek-100-whips-vanilla-cupcake -
At 10 months post op I eat what my family does but I skip the carb (bread, pasta, rice are not on the menu). For example if is spaghetti night I put the meat sauce on my veggie. I Even eat the toppings from pizza... I no longer dread pizza night!!!! Obviously you can't do that yet. But you can soon!!! The further out you get the easier it gets! I promise. Don't beat yourself up either... The phase your in is hard.

Nobody Thinks I Need Weight Loss Surgery
ocgirl15 replied to Tierra T Tij's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I wonder if the issue is Mexico more than WLS.... What if you were going to a bariatric center of excellence at a top hospital? Your BMI would qualify you for surgery under any US insurance plan that covers WLS and any top notch bariatric program would accept you as a patient. I know my own family and friends would have hated that idea of Mexico. But the local hospital 10 minutes away and I had their total support! -
I have been wondering about it. Please share some tasty recipes!!!!

Has anyone cheated ?
ocgirl15 replied to VsgFitMom15's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't have to cheat. I was allowed (smooth no fruit) Greek yogurt doing my full liquid stage. Add some fairlife milk to make it a liquid?!!! -
How are you doing Butterflywarrior? Hope all went well and you are having an easy recovery!
