  1. I "kept" mine between my 80 yr old Mom and my kids/husband.....people slip up namely Mom. But I'm sure everyone would eventually notice the dramatic weight loss and suspect so I then just told some people I'm close to. Turns out several people at church have also done WLS
  2. Hi all. I had surgery 1/4/16 thought I was doing well but it was difficult getting fluids in so the kept me 4 nights then sent me home with full liquids. 3 days later I could feel it gurgling in my throat, nausea and vomiting. Went to ER at Md instruction. Cat scan showed intestinal swelling. I know swelling is part of the process of healing but I spent another week in the hospital with IV total per enteral nutrition. So now I have been home 3 days still on the IV stuff now I'm to start sipping liquids again on a trial basis in hopes my intestines have opened up. The upper GI test showed a definite narrowing between the intestine connection point at the jejunum And possibly the connection was sewed to small per the doctor. Has anyone else experienced similar things? The doctor seems to think it may reopen on its own. I'm so worried it's driving me crazy because my insurance isn't even covering the IV nutrition

    Surgeon follow up issues

Is it possible his office has a PA or Np to do the follow up? My surgeon has NPs to assist with patient care
