I've lost 73 pounds and hydrate my body on a daily basis. I have loose skin on my inner thighs and a bit on my belly. There are so many things that contribute to whether or not you'll have loose skin - genetics, how long you've been heavy, how heavy you are prior to surgery, skin elasticity, etc. I imagine I'll have a thigh lift at some point. If other things are needed, I'm sure I'll have them done as well. However, I'm going to wait until I get closer to my goal weight before I start making appointments to see a plastic surgeon.

I got my 6th fill this past Tuesday and am now at 2.8cc. It's definitely an individual thing. The typical signs for me that I need a fill are 1) I'm hungry 2-3 hours after eating and 2) I can eat significanly more than usual. My surgeon told me that sometimes when you lose a significant amount of weight, the restriction will diminish, thus the need for another fill. I'm pretty aggressive with my fills. Once I get my signs, I don't wait more than 1-2 weeks before getting a fill. He also mentioned that once I get closer to my goal weight, the frequency of fills will decrease. I'm hoping that's the case. My fills are virtually pain-free, but if I don't need one, all the better.

Have you tried Fiber Choice Orange Fiber Drops? Two drops contain 8 grams of fiber. They taste like orange hard candy.

You know what, I don't see that option anymore either. Sorry!

tellymelly, you can delete them yourself. All you have to do is click on Edit at the bottom of your post and there's a delete option there.

Lucky you, Diane...you have no sagging inner thigh skin. I have it and HATE it. I exercise my inner thighs, to no avail. Ugh!

If you're not hungry, you're not hungry. I had days like that 2-3 weeks post op. If you can though, try to get a shake down so that you have some protein today.

Typically, I have only a Protein shake and something light prior to having a fill. Unless, of course, it's early in the morning, then it's just the Protein shake. My first fill didn't make much difference. It wasn't until my 3rd fill that I achieved good restriction. Good luck to you!

Ouch!! My technician wants to buy one that costs $100,000. Unfortunately, in Louisiana, it has to be used in a physician's office. She wants to buy it and use it at her home, but wouldn't be able to advertise/market it without getting herself in trouble. Too bad though, because I'd still go to her. She's awesome! Even though she currently works out of a ENT/Facial Plastic Surgeon's office, she never charges the amount listed on the price sheet. Examples: Upper lip regular price -$100. She charged me $50, which includes a 2nd treatment. My friend Kristy had her bikini line and underarms done recently. Bikini line regular price - $350. She charged her $225. Underarms regular price - $200. She charged her $125. Again, all of these prices include a 2nd treatment.

Other than walking, my doctor said no exercise for 8 weeks. After that, it was a free-for-all.

Paula, Vaniqa is no where near as high as laser hair removal treatments. It doesn't make the hair go away but rather slows the growth and, if I remember correctly, lightens the hair. I chose to go the laser hair removal route for the hair on my upper lip. I used to get it waxed but wanted something permanent. My ethnicity is primarily Norwegian with a small amount of Cherokee Indian but my hair is very, very dark. The unwanted hair growth for me is (was) my upper lip, my lower abdomen and the back of my upper arms. As far as getting laser treatments, it works best on dark hair so if you have blonde lip or chin hair, you would have to dye it for the laser to recognize and zap it. It looks for pigment. I'm sorry that some of you haven't had good luck with it. I had my upper lip treated a while ago and nothing has come back. Is it possible that they're using the wrong kind of laser? They have different types for different things. My technician uses the Candela GentleLASE. There is a place around here that claims to treat unwanted hair, but uses the wrong kind of laser so people keep coming back and spending more money. Of course, this is just heresay. I hope this information is helpful. :grouphug:

What Do You Do Now Instead of Eating????
Tricia K. replied to Teresita's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've never been obsessed with food nor have I been a grazer. However, I do get bored every now and then. When that happens, I pick up a Dean Koontz novel.
