Thank you pepsi, Eileen, tzt & Mert. Update: according to the bank, we're good to go. They're scheduling an appraisal date with the current owner, doing the title search and filed the necessary paperwork with the IRS to verify our income tax returns. Now, it's just a matter of getting a closing date. Woo hoo!! I'm so excited!!

My husband and I were jumping on one at our friend's house the other day and we were both winded after a few minutes. We liked it so much that we might get one as well.

How many of us have NOT had major problems with the band?
Tricia K. replied to tztmama's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
All I can do is relay my own experience. I'm almost 10 months post-op and I've never had a problem with my band. Please keep in mind that the people who do have problems are a small fraction of the total number of people banded. They are also more likely to post about their problems than those that don't. Think about it...if someone is not having a problem they probably won't start a thread such as "Hey, I have no problems!" If, God forbid, you do experience a problem and need your band removed, it will most likely be an emergency situation, which would land you in the emergency room and should be covered under most insurance plans. I hope this eases your fears. Hugs, Tricia -
