  3. Hi! I was sleeved on 12/08/15. I am down 135 pounds so far. I have been sticking to my 4 oz's 3 times a day but lately I feel like my body is telling me that I need more. I don't know if that is natural or if I am stressing and my instinct to to go towards food. Can anyone assist? Is it natural at some point to feel like you need more than 4 oz 3x a day? I haven't called her yet. I don't have another appointment till August so I figured I would ask and see if other people were experiencing similar issues. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Hunger question

Thanks! I have been eating almost 90 grams of Protein everyday. I only eat protein and vegetables. No starchy veggies, no carbs, no sugar, no fruits. No nothing besides dense Proteins (meat and beans) and veggies (usually kale, spinach, cauliflower.) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. So, I woke up with a stomach virus. I was sleeved on December 8th. I was wondering what suggestions people have for dealing with this. Before my surgery, I would eat crackers, rice, pretzels, and ginger ale. I can't have any of that now. What should I do to settle my stomach? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Hi, So sorry to be graphic but I am a bit concerned. I had my surgery on December 8th 2015. Ever since surgery, I had had constipation issues. Now though, when I poop I start to bleed. Bright red blood and what appears to be a decent amount. Has anyone else experienced this? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Hi! I know we are supposed to focus on our protein and clear liquid intake but I was wondering what an average day looks like for you calorie wise. I am consuming between 500-700 calories a day. I am on the proteins only stage of the surgery.
  10. I have stalled at 40 pounds down a month after my surgery. I am eating 3 to 4 oz a meal, I am chewing everything slowly. I drink tons of clear liquids throughout the day, a minimum of 64 oz and yet I have been stuck for 2 weeks. I have even gained 2 pounds. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Any advice or suggestions? I'm feeling very frustrated.

@@RaginCajun Thanks. So true. Happy New Year.
  14. I am 1000% glad that I have had the sleeve a week ago today. I know it is a big change and that it takes time. I was just talking to my husband about a trip we are taking and how the food I get at my favorite restaurant ever, which I used to eat in one sitting, would now easily take me a week to consume. I began sobbing because I didn't realize what a control food has on my life. I feel awful about that and at the same time, don't know how to get it out on my head and break the addiction.
  15. Hi! I am still in the stage where my vitamins need to be gummy or liquid. I am looking all over for ones that have iron and have yet to find one. Anybody have a suggestion?
  16. I was just cleared for soft foods. I think I am going to start with a scrambled egg. I am really excited and really tired of chicken broth!
  17. I kept the surgery a secret from most as well. I am on my fitness pal and just sent you a friend request.
  18. I am 6 days post op and all of a sudden I feel like the stomach is growling all day long. I am on clear liquids and protein shakes till the 23rd and that seems like a lifetime away. Anyone have any suggestions as to make the grumbling stop?

I have made a Pinterest board with recipes that will be sleeve friendly to get me excited about the next phase of this coming up soon. I am hoping that prepping for things that are allowed will get me excited about food in a positive, healthy way. Thanks for the feedback and support!

Day 2 of pre op diet!

It sucks. Try to keep yourself preoccupied and give yourself a little more time to sleep if possible. Warn your family that you are going to be cranky for a bit. You can do it and at the end of the day are going to be so glad you did!! Good luck!
  25. @@psvzum you are moving right along there!! The only protein shakes I can tolerate are premier protein. You buy it in Costco they come in cases of 18 for $25 on sale for $20. What's the name of the bread you found?
