Last night I invited my sisters and their husbands out for what I called my last supper. My 2 week pre-op begins today... And all day yesterday I had the feeling that I was going away somewhere like an extended trip or moving out of town, it was the strangest thing. I woke up this morning with stomach in knots but totally purpose driven. I can't believe after all this time I'm 2 weeks out.

I went to Outback Steakhouse (I'm a fiend for their chicken pasta), added a little steak, some wings, a few drinks... It was awesome. My first day I decided to do all liquids and so far so good

I'm hoping that's the case, that it gets easier over time ... What sucks major is that we're having Valentine's Day parties tomorrow (I teach) and I've been begging my kids not to bring me anything ... But I know chocolate will surround me haha

Congratulations girl! You've got this!! Whenever I get nervous, I head over to the before and after photos and it works like a charm lol.

Great question ... Mine is 2 shakes and a meal of 4oz meat with 1c veggies and 1c fruit for 2 weeks

Just realized my phone allowed me to put the 36th as my surgery date ???? (Spell check needs to include a date check). It's the 26th. And I'm still nervous

I got my dates ... Pre-op eval is on the 16th and my surgery date is the 36th! I'm freaking out ????

I'm the 26th but I'd love to still keep up with you guys! I have yet to find a sleeve buddy that shares my same date ... Are you having jitters?? I feel like time has sped up and slowed down all at the same time

I am in your exact shoes! I'm scheduled for the 26th and literally everything you said I can relate to. I find myself trying to keep busy so I can't stop for too long and freak out but I'm assuming this is normal... We'll get past it. Good luck with everything -

Awesome work!! I'm mentally prepping myself for this pre-op diet that begins Thursday. 2 weeks (eek) but I know I can do it. Going to rack up on protein drinks tomorrow and have my food funeral ????. Thanks for all of the wonderful updates! -

First of all, congratulations!!! You're 3 days before me so please keep us posted! Secondly I had the same thing sort of happen to me, I smiled and walked away and haven't thought twice about it (although I have had to rethink telling people about my decision). Some people are just haters????

I have bcbs TX and it took about 10-12 days after my doctors office submitted the request for them to generate the approval (which was last Friday). They called me today to schedule the actual procedure. It felt like forever but in all honesty the process went quickly. I first walked into my doctors office determined to have this done just 1 month ago (almost to the day).

I feel the same way... Ever since they called and told me 'we got your approval and sent it to he surgeons office, they should be calling you within the week to schedule the date' I haven't slept well at all! I'm nervous too, and I feel like I want it to hurry up and get here but also I don't wanna rush it... I'm in such a weird mental space right now. Very anxious.
