Several years ago, I weighed 293 pounds. I went to my Kaiser doctors and said I wanted surgery for getting my weight under control. Looking at my insulin resistance, my back pain, foot pain, PCOS, family heart conditions, the said I was a great candidate. But...Insurance won't cover it. Then I got mad and pretended to eat like I had bypass surgery, lost 90 pounds and tried like heck to keep it off. It came back. So, December 8th, 2015, I underwent sleeve gastrotomy with Dr. Williams in Atlanta. A new chapter in my life...
