    Who Are You?

I love reading about all of you. You are amazing. I can't wait to be able to post my before and after. I am a 59 year old woman living in Boise Idaho. I I am I moved here from North Carolina and the beach. I am living now with two cousins that I adore and are more like sisters. I moved here to have my surgery. I have two adult sons that still live in Raleigh. I have 6 beautiful, fantastic, most perfect children on earth grandsons. I am a retired kindergarten teacher assistant. It was the greatest job in the world. I will have a sleeve surgery on December 30th. I have fought my entire life to lose weight. I am at my highest weight ever 250. I had my colon removed a year ago because of precancerous cells. I have used this as an excuse along with along with prednisone to gain an extra 50lbs. This surgery is my gift to myself for my 60th birthday in June. By then I may take learning to belly dance off my bucket list!
  3. I only have to do pre-op diet for 2 days. Seems so odd after reading on this site. I am trying to cut out carbs - maybe 8lbs. MsMe and Cutepretty1 - you are inspiration that I can do this!!

    So Ready For Positive Changes!

Good for you!! I tried txting with my son last night. It ended up him taking things the wrong way and he quit talking to me. I hadnt talked to him since before Thanksgiving. It makes me so sad I cry. Another reason I hate texting! You dont come off the way you planned.
  5. I had to have my colon removed due to pre-cancerous cells - without getting to graphic i go to the bathroom 8-10 times a day. I have forgotten what normal is. I take Miralax with hardly any water to help my situation. Pls get some help. You dont want to damage "that area" believe me. Oh! My surgery date is 12/30! I am jumping for joy!!
  6. How did DR and insurance approve you with such a small amount too loose.? I am not taking the want/need to loose 60 lbs lightly. I just know what I had to do and I have 1 90 lbs to loose.
  7. Any one pushing 60 with some before and afters? Everyone including my Dr. say its never too late!!!

    So Ready For Positive Changes!

Fairee! I so can relate. My 33 yr old is addicted to pain pills after a horrible accident when he was 17. He has 4 children by two different mothers. I finally left North Carolina, my home, my other children and grandchildren to get away from him and his conniving ways. I am now in Boise Idaho, and I hate every minute of it. I shouldn't say I hate it because it took me getting here to get my surgery scheduled. My date is December 30th. I hope to go back to North Carolina by the end of March- but I won't go back to lose my sanity. It is hard to explain to other people the things you and I have decided to do for our children. I know tough love - I know I know. I live on SS also - but refuse to loan/send/give him any money. At least my ex is out if the picture. Oh yes thats a bright side - lolol
  9. Thanks cindyw41. My post reads like I need txting lessons. Lol this site is loaded with.info!!!

  11. I am so new to this, my surgery date is December 30th. Are you talking about water? Are the protein shakes? I'm having trouble getting into the personal part to update my profile. Good luck on your adventure, I can't wait to get mine done.
