I'm not quite there yet, but as of yesterday I was at 204.2. I'm hoping for next week maybe. Good luck I hope your onederland day is soon! -
Hi, another teacher here! I struggle at times to get liquids in too.I try to get liquids in right away in the morning and eat breakfast when I get to school. I sip when I can (always have a bottle of water on my desk) and drink on my prep. I have a 40 minute commute to and from school so whenever I'm in the car I try to have water with me. If you haven't tried the ready to go Premier Protein drinks they have 30 grams of protein. The taste is well...not too bad Congrats on your surgery and good luck!

I like the Zumba exhilaration set. It comes with light weights and 5 DVDs, my favorite is the toning.

Am I losing quickly enough?
deedleblay replied to alishams86's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Average weight loss can be so varied. I had my surgery shortly after you-Dec. 16th. What has worked for me is just trying different things to see what works for my body. I have been trying to stay under 1200 calories on days I work out and 1000 on days I don't. This is just so different for each person. You could try getting more water, adding some green tea or green coffee bean, eating breakfast or not, low carbing or upping your protein and definitely getting some sort of exercise. I found out I love doing Zumba at home, which I would never have done before surgery. I tell myself as long as I am losing, even 1/2 pound at a time, I am still making progress. I have lost a total of 48 pounds since the presurgey diet and 36 pounds has been since surgery. So our numbers are similar. Keep going, you can do this! -

Today's weight 206. 4 -
The cookie diet - expensive cookies and of course you lost weight because it was only 800 calories a day. I went on another one where you couldn't have cooked meat except beef jerky.

I'm in! I will post weight on Monday -
I am a little over four weeks out from surgery and weight loss has stalled. I lost 15 lbs. during the pre surgery diet and 14 lbs since surgery but...only 1 lb. in the last 2 weeks. Why is it slowing so much? I eat between 1000-1200 calories daily and log my food in myfitnesspal. My doctor cleared me for exercise so I've started using the elliptical this week. My job is not sedentary also. I go in next week for my first fill, but does that mean I should be eating under 1000 calories to keep losing? I'm very frustrated at this point and hope weight loss will resume soon. I've been trying everything I can think of/read about - more water, green tea, etc. but come on! Could anyone share a similar experience or some tips please? I need motivation:(

Thanks for the info - seeing that it is common is helpful.
