New Teeth to Match the New Plastic Rest of Me
higher replied to AvaFern's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
A lot of brands make a clear wax lip liner now so you don't have to worry about feathering or going out of the lines. I think the Too Faced one is called Lip Fence. It's amazing product. Especially for all the creamy matte styles that are out these days. I'm a Ruby Woo girl too. It has that gorgeous blue undertone that works so well. -

Anyone else thinking prematurely to get rid of fat clothes
higher replied to trekker954's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Once I realized I was gonna go through with the surgery (5 days away...eek!) I bagged up all my skinny clothes from days gone by that I love and put them aside. I have lots of stuff size 4 - 14. I'm a 16-18 now. Some of them never really fit me and I just bought because I had to have it. I'm really looking forward to tearing open those bags. There's some Kira Plastinia in there, vintage Escada, filth mart, I even have some fur coats that I sized up and out of. I also donated a ton of my fat clothes already. Clothes that I never even really wanted to own, but couldn't fit into anything cute and needed them to get by. So many of those. Ugh! Oh and @@FrankiesGirl you have to post a pic of that rhinestone and pearl dress, it sounds amazing ! I have a long 40s style dress with a big pearl collar and sequins that come in on the side like a V. I kind of want to have it made into a mini. -

I have a couple of bridges and crowns and I got the whitest shade possible. In my case, what we did was whiten my natural teeth over a few months to see how white they would get. Once that was done they happened to match to the whitest shade. I think it was B1 but don't remember. I do remember being very impressed with myself for matching the whitest shade LOL. So now I just periodically use the whitening trays (once every couple of months?) to spruce up my "natural teeth" and keep them at the same shade as the fakes. -
What Are Some Things You Can't Wait for POST OP?
higher replied to Denise73's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
- keeping up with my nephews - dancing all night long at the club - feeling confident in the front row at a concert when the lead singers looks at me! - shopping somewhere besides the beauty counters at the best stores: Jeffrey, bergdorfs, bendel - roller blading -
I know...I will need support. I just haven't figured out yet who I want to get that support from. And as you all know, you can't "untell" people. So I'm waiting and will still think about it. I have 6 days until surgery. And if I don't figure it out beforehand I can always tell after.

Also, change the locks.

Oh pobrecita. I'm sorry you're going through this. You will get through it if you keep the faith and stay strong. A good lawyer can help protect you and your children in many ways and will be worth the money upfront. Is there any chance a good friend or family member can help you out with the money?
-
Get a lawyer. The best one in town.

I love eating fish! Great recipe. Too bad I live in an apartment with no grill. City living has its downsides. Not that I'll be eating fish for a few weeks to a month anyway (I'm a week away from surgery) but when I make it in the oven I like to cook it en papillote. My go to is a nice piece of fish with some chipped ginger, lemongrass, and kefir leaves wrapped up in parchment paper. Bake it at 350 until the paper puffs up (10-15 min) Unwrap and you've got a fragrant healthy flavor steamed piece of fish. You can throw veggies in the parchment too and they'll cook right alongside the fish.

I'm still preop, surgery is 1 week away and I still haven't told a soul except my medical team and this message board. I thought I would have told a family member or close friend by now but I haven't yet. Not sure what I'll end up doing.

Oh, I've heard of Branson. It looks so fun. And yes we can do this !

Snacks for Movie Theatre Ideas?

They check purses at the movie theaters you guys go to? -
My work paid for the pre check and global entry, but I would gladly have paid $1000 to not have to stand in those security lines again. I get to the airport 20-30 min before my flight if it's domestic these days and I love it. Anytime spent in an airport is wasted time to me unless it's a nice airport. But in NYC we don't have nice airports. Those are few and far between. Also, @@beach lover I am intrigued. Tell me more about these blinged out Capri pants

@@betterme38 down on the Gold Coast of Florida, Palm Beach. I KNOW I have a fatty liver from the ultrasound so I really want it to shrink as much as possible. Honestly I should have been trying to lose weight harder over the last 8 months or so. Regretting that. So even though I just have a 5 day preop diet I've been on a mostly liquid super low carb diet for the past two weeks or so anyway. The best way to look at it is a super head start I guess! Where is your trip?
-
I only have a 5 day preop diet so it doesn't start until Saturday. My surgeon wants me to lose 4 more lbs by surgery day of July 7th! I am just so excited to be in the sun, by the pool and the ocean without work bothering me that I don't even care that I can't eat or drink.

@@betterme38 did your vacation/preop diet happen already? I leave for mine on Sunday.
