I'm so sorry for all your experiences. I told everyone at work about my surgery and they have been nothing but supportive. I am still out on FMLA and haven't been back to work yet but I'm sure they will continue to be as supportive when I get back. I also am the manager so maybe they just act nice in front of me but hey I don't care I'll take it!! Stay positive and remember what others think is not important, we have to take care of ourselves and our well being. Keep on losing and keep on smiling!!!!

This is me the day before surgery 6/6/16.

I am five days post-op and today have felt really hungry. My stomach just feels upset all the time and although I've taken many liquids in water, broth, some yogurt I still feel like I'm hungry and my stomach is just making noises. I'm so glad you asked because I thought I was just going crazy and did not expect to be hungry so early on. I am also taking Prevacid but I don't know is anyone else on any medication for acid reflex? What are you all taking? Maybe what I'm on doesn't work for me. I finally gave in and had some refried beans but now I just feel sick. Arghhh why is this so hard?

I'm June 6! Good luck to everyone. I can't believe it's almost here.

I did not have to do a long pre open diet lost about 10 in the beginning during the 90 day required diet supervised by my doctor. Now that I'm a week away I have to have rhe same diet as you protein shakes twice a day and I can have one healthy meal until three days before surgery then it's an all clear liquid diet til the day. I can't believe it's do close only 6 more days to go. I haven't been that good with my diet do far but I'm going to try to be better these last couple of days.

How are you handling the pre-op diet? What pre-op diet are you following? I only have to do Clear liquids for 3 days. But I have to replace two meals with shakes until then and my surgery date is June 6.

Anyone else having surgery around this date? I am beyond excited and nervous at the same time. It took 6 months but my insurance finally approved it. Anyone from Las Vegas here?

Hi! I found it that all I have to do is just meal replacements with one small meal until 3 days before surgery and then it's all clear liquids till the day of surgery. I'm doing ok feeling a little hungry but it's not that bad since I can still eat a small healthy meal. I think it's more mental than physical for me. I forgot to mention I've been also debating this for the past 2 years so my family is very supportive but not many of my friends know about it just close ones.

Wow congrats! You are doing good. I am taking two weeks off because I'm not sure how I will handle all the pain and I work in an office sitting all day might make it even more painful. I think my surgery is at sunrise but I'll find out more details tomorrow.

I am so nervous tomorrow is my pre-op appointment and I get to find out what I have to do to get ready for the surgery. We should definitely be sleeve buddies I need some support. I haven't told a lot of people about my surgery just work and my close family. How about you do you have a lot of support?

I am having mine on June 6 so excited and nervous!!! It took me 6 months to get approved but hopefully it will all be worth it.
