losergrl75 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Here's a F2F before and after. I actually have eyes and cheekbones again. I didn't think there was that much of a difference, but I've ran into about 5 people in the last month who had no idea who I was lol Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App -

60-65% of Excess Weight?
losergrl75 replied to IveGotThePower's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My surgeon uses your very first weigh in from your consultation since they expect you to start losing during your six month medically supervised weight management process prior to surgery. Using myself as an example, I weighed 242 the day of my consult and my surgeon put my excess body weight at 123 lbs. Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App -
So I did a really dumb thing and I am paying for it now HELP ME
losergrl75 replied to myree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hope you feel better soon. There's a nasty stomach bug going around my area that my grandkids gave to me last week. Luckily it passed fairly quickly since I was at a loss on what to do post op. Preop I would have eaten bananas, rice and toast for stomach upset. All things I tend to avoid now. Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App -
At what point did you notice your weight loss slow down?
losergrl75 replied to IveGotThePower's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 7.5 months out and less than 10lbs from goal. I was averaging 8-10lbs a month up to about the 6 month mark when it slowed down. I lost 5lbs since my 6 month checkup, but I was also increased to around 900-1000 calories and 60 carbs a day at that appointment. I'm hoping slowing down like this to goal will help me figure out maintenance. Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App -

I just started shopping on Zulilly, first time I ordered 2 items just because I wasn't sure about sizing. Those were fine, so I just ordered several maxi dresses for the summer. This just might be a little addicting! Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App it's easy to get addicted to them! I buy a lot of my jean shorts there because at $14.99 or so I don't feel as bad when I blow through a size a month. They fit so well and when things don't fit so well, they make it right by you and I like that! Also love the reborn collection. I have several of their tunics in various colors, styles, and prints but they take like 4wks to get and sometimes I'm out of them before they arrive. That's how I felt about the maxis I ordered. At $7.99 & $9.99 each, I won't be too bothered if I only get one wear. Once I hit goal--- it's on lol Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App

I made another run to Goodwill this weekend because my size 14 were starting to become way too loose. At my local thrift stores, the larger your size the harder it is to find stuff. Getting into size 12s , I had so many clothes to choose from that I got the luxury of being discerning and not just buying some pants because they were my size! And it might have been my wishful thinking, but the smaller size clothing just seemed to all have less wear. Everything I got looked brand new. I spent $30 and got 5 pairs of capris and 4 shirts! I really had to stop myself because as we all know, I might only be in size 12 for a couple of weeks lol

What Are Your Summer Plans?
losergrl75 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Over Memorial Day weekend, we took the grandkids on a quick weekend trip to Chicago and Brookfield Zoo. It was so nice being able to walk the entire day without pain in my back, knees and feet. Or numbness and tingling from my sciatica. I planted flowers in our flower beds for the first time in years since my issues above are largely resolved with my continued weight loss. My spouse and I are trying to coordinate schedules for a quick 4 day mini vacation to the Rivera Maya in July. We have gone there every year for the last 4 years, so there isn't any change to that. Except a much more comfortable trip on the plane and all around less misery in the heat due to my weight. I just started shopping for new swimsuits and had so many more options at this size! -

Question for those with PCOS
losergrl75 replied to becomingmandikaye's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have PCOS , I'm 5' 2" SW was 225 on 01/14/16 and I'm currently 177 at 3 months out. My NUT does not have me count carbs, however since we are insulin resistant, I have found my weight loss to be more consistent when I keep them at 50 or below daily. I am finally off thyroid medication, hbp pills and am no longer pre-diabetic which all go hand in hand with PCOS. My facial hair growth hasn't gone away completely but it has slowed down tremendously even though I am no longer taking spironolacton. -

losergrl75 replied to sassyfrass23's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thanks @@OutsideMatchInside, I am in another group no weight loss related just a women's group and quite a few of the ladies have reported excellent results with the neoprene suits and albolene or even just saran wrap and albolene and I have been curious about it. -

Do you use Abilene with your suit? I've been thinking about trying that out, have heard it works well. Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App -
If you like anthropologie, I second Urban Outfitters that was suggested upthread. Also, H&M and Old Navy have some boho stuff.

While getting dressed a couple of weeks ago, I noticed a hard lump in the sternum area between my breasts. I had my 3 month post op visit coming up, so I figured maybe it was from my hiatal hernia repair and I'd ask about it at my post op visit. I went yesterday and told her about the bump. She said that wouldn't be from my hernia, so she'd better take a look at it. The hard bump is my sternum, I just had so much fat tissue there for so long that I had forgotten what it felt like. I practically had myself signed up for chemo after reading WebMD! The internet can be the devil lol Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App
