I am a mad scientist in the kitchen, so I am going to make my own chickpea flour and check this out. It's only chickpea flour, Water, olive oil and your choice if spice. The only carbs would be from the chickpeas themselves which are high Protein. You apparently can make them as thin or thick or big or small as you want.

    Has anyone tried these http://www.flatoutbread.com/products/flatout-wraps/flatout-light/?
The nutrition doesn't look terrible on the light or the Protein one. Just wondering. They look big, so I am assuming I wouldn't be able to eat a whole one one I put meat and such.

I use them lots. I buy low cal 7 grain and whole wheat bread as well. I can tolerate bread fine so I just look for the least harmful version(s) Be careful if you can't tolerate bread and bread products though. The flatbread is fairly soft and I know that's a problem for some.

Loved the taste but they made me really sick. Hurt to eat even 2 bites.

Yep. Not bad at all. My fav by far is the P28 Protein flat though. I can only eat 1/4 of one with a topping, but it adds a bit of Protein and they freeze well. They are available at my local grocery store or you can order from P28 foods online. https://www.p28foods.com/baked-goods/p28-high-protein-wraps

I had bypass, but my Cigna at the time I only paid maybe $900. Of course that can vary with you plan and what not.

I always get stuck after the first few weeks. But mine has more to do with my lungs than my legs being tired. I have asthma so I always have trouble. I'm starting over this week and will probably have to stretch some of the earlier weeks out.

This has honestly been one of the most motivating shows for me. I started watching it long before I even considered WLS for myself.
I can remember cringing while watching it prior to my surgery, mostly because I felt guilty about my own situation at that time and the fact that I was doing nothing about it.
I learned both great examples to follow off this show and also what not to do (Penny). I can remember feeling like why would you put yourself through all this if you are going to stick your head in the sand.
Nikki is a gorgeous young lady with a gorgeous heart. I really look forward to them doing a follow up, and I am hoping she continues to be successful. I honestly have no doubt that she will given her drive to get her eating disorder under control.
I really do wish they would spend more time on the prep to get ready for surgery instead of the shower and bathroom scenes. I think it is good that they show the daily struggles and I actually liked that they showed the jerk in the grocery store who made the rude comment and Nikki's reaction. The reason I was glad they showed that was in the hopes that maybe 1 non fat person will understand how horrible words hurt. To Nikki's point, you can have those thoughts but saying them out loud is so hurtful.
My Mother n law was like that. She would buy a gift of clothing for me or my husband who is also obese. She would ask, "will it fit or ask you to try it on" of course she would always always always buy clothing 4 or 5 sizes too small. If you responded with this won't fit, she would say well then lose weight!
We collect wee forest folk mice. One year she gave my husband a little mouse that was standing on a scale wrapped in a towel. She then said, get the hint?!
Keep in mind this woman was obese herself.
If one person changes their rude behavior because of this show it would be worth it. Words hurt! Obese people turn to food for comfort.....

Thanks for the ideas! I do the pudding a lot. I've just been on Pinterest (bad idea) and saw a bunch of cookie recipes and it got my sweet tooth going. I haven't really had a sweet tooth since surgery or at least not like it was before.

I had a hard time on the liquid diet too. I drank a lot of milk because i couldn't stomach the Protein Drinks. I wish I had know about some of the other Protein waters and such at that stage. But it will get better.

I could drink a lot after surgery. It took me awhile to where I felt full. But now I can eat a egg and be stuffed. Kinda goes by the day for me.
