Not sure who I should tell!
lifeofblair replied to HappilyEverAfter44's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My coworkers kind of figured it out on their own because there is another lady that had it before she started and is very open about it and I was not. But, they noticed I was only eating yogurt and such when I came back and that I was losing weight pretty fast. They've been nice at least to my face and I work with all women. -
Just had to share this new find
lifeofblair replied to imadethelist's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I can do them for a few bits then they taste like cardboard to me. But I wish I liked them for an easy snack in a pinch. -
Holy cow! Should I have been able to eat that much?
lifeofblair replied to thomas1984's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I did mash potatoes on the soft food phase o would cook them and pre portion out my allotted amount. That way I wouldn't eat more than I needed. -
2 more days til raw veggies & fruit with skin!
lifeofblair replied to MrsQ2016's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Oh I remember my countdown. First thing I did was go get some fresh peaches. Of course I couldn't each much of them but totally worth it! -
I never tried anything crazy except the typical teenager stuff of not eating until 4pm when I got home after school. Worked great until I would binge. I did lose weight until I started getting hunger headaches.

What do you eat before and after a work out?
lifeofblair replied to skp's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I workout after work around 4:30, so I don't eat before unless I'm absolutely starving. By the time I get home after I eat dinner. That's mainly due to my schedule. -
What section in target are they in? I'll have to check the ones near me.

I hit my nut goal on Wednesday. This is my down before goal but a general idea -
Goal Reached - now what
lifeofblair replied to aelovelady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just reached goal too and I'm the same way. What do I do now? All I know is to eat less and lose weight, so it's weird now having to maintain and I have no clue where to start. -
I am flying in April to Florida (I like to plan ahead) for a wedding and then going to Disney World for a few days. What foods should I take? Or do I need to take food? I usually don't travel without backup like protein bars/beef jerky/etc. I haven't been to Disney since I was 5, so can't remember much and things are different now. Any tips/recommendations would be great!

Age is but a number......
lifeofblair replied to Hannahb3997's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@@Hannahb3997 I almost had WLS as a 17 yr old and I am glad I didn't. Looking back I don't think I was prepared to have t then. I ended up having it at 23, although I wish I did have it sooner. I though college would have been hard following the guidelines. But, everyone is different and if you think you are ready then go for it. Everyone is different. -
I just started eating more than 800 cal like my nut recommended and I am now at goal. I up my calories when I work out.
-
That happens to be sometimes. I remember the first time it happened to me was with refried beans on the puréed stage. No fun. I do notice it happens when I eat too fast though

@@MzB I'm going to have to try this!

The only thing is buying cookies from the girls supports their troop and that's how they get to go on trips and do service projects so I try to buy when possible. It's basically a donation.

@@Cape Crooner I can't wait until we have Trader Joes where I live. It should be sometime this year. Seems like I will be able to buy lots of WLS friendly things there.

Apple Watch and My Fitness Pal
lifeofblair posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
So I know a bunch of people on here use my fitness pal, so I thought I would check it out (I use live strong my plate). I can't seem to get my watch and the mfp app to work together. Can anyone help? -
I still want to support the girls, so when I get asked I will do the gift of caring or troop to troop where they are donated to soldiers and such, but man I miss Thin Mints!

Apple Watch and My Fitness Pal
lifeofblair replied to lifeofblair's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@@Djmohr for some reason mine isn't tracking all the calories my watch has said I've burned. It's weird. It is showing my steps. -
@@Kindle I've been looking for non perishable food, so I'll have to try these. I tried quest chips and didn't like them, maybe I'll like these!

I'd like to say I got the surgery which partly was the reason, but I was tired of going out with friends and being the big girl and felt like I was sticking out. Or going shopping with friends and never being able to buy things because of my size. Some of my health issues have gotten better, but my arthritis in my back has gotten worse (go figure). I did have that moment at JCrew when trying on some spring clothes. I'd always loved their clothes but could never wear them and now I can! It's exciting.

Are these with regular chips in your store? Or a different one? What section does your store have this in?

A convenient healthy protein discovery
lifeofblair replied to CowgirlJane's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I'm all about some easy meals since o can't do any type of microwave meals! -
I do sandwiches but without the Bread, leftovers from whatever I ate the night before, hillshire farms snacking. If I'm running errands I grab Wendy's chili which is cheap.

My favorite type of chocolate post op is chocolate pudding. Honestly, I want chocolate in the form of candy but it's a trigger food for me, so I stay away.
