So I haven't been on much in the last couple years. Just steadily keeping my weight from fluctuating too much. I am having a TT and breast augmentation on 5/2 with Dr Michael Salzhauer (aka the real Dr Miami) in Bal Harbour, FL (Miami area). It's all paid in full. It was about $12,000 that I took the last 14 months to pay off. I started at 350 (give or take since I don't know how much I got up to really) I'm now at about 200. I went as low as 170 but looked unhealthy. I love my curves as they are now. However, the pain the excess skin causes on my back is more than I can bear. Everyone keeps asking me "are you excited??", "aren't you terrified??", and "are you sure you want to put your body through that??" Yes. Yes I do. To all of it. Here's a couple pics I had from before and during the processes. Thank you for everyone that has been so supportive.

Thank you so much!!! It's an amazing journey and I'm realizing that it's a lifetime journey. There is no "before & after" but instead a "before & during". Keep up your hard work. -

I am 6' and I weigh 195. My implants are 750cc each. I had a lot of skin, so the large volume was needed. I did not need a lift, only augmentation. And they are perky. But it's up to you and what your post op breast size goal is. I ended up a full D. Which is proportionate for me. And all the women in my family have larger breasts. So now I blend in with my family better. Lol -

I have a seroma that requires draining. You can cause more scarring. Pull a stitch. Get an infection. Wear your compression garment all the time unless showering. I recommend going to walgreens or Walmart and getting a big bottle of hibiclens. It's about $20. Wash your body for a few days before surgery and for weeks afterward. Keeps your risk of infection low. Supplement your intake with Protein powder. I added unflavored to my broth, Soups and yogurt. Increasing your protein facilitates healing. I also took arnica Montana for swelling. Take your pain meds. -

Lol. Yes. I let him. My friends and family wanted to watch it. So I let them. Most of us are in the medical field, so we tend to have a morbid curiosity. It was something else to be able to watch your own transformation. It's one thing to look one way before going under, then be completely different when you wake up. And another to get to see what happened in between. He's an amazing artist. I look and feel great. Minor issues but in all fairness I brought it on myself being too mobile too soon. -

The bandage across my belly came off. The twins are incredible. Lol. I'm loving life. Skin removed. About 3 feet of it. Over 16 lbs. May 2, 2016. After surgery. Still on the table. Post op day 1 pics. Bruises are from the lipo he did on the sides. Belly bandage with drain. You can see the new chest a bit too. Lol. The middle bandage is my new belly button. Side view. Post op day 4. And chest shot. They are so huge compared to what I was used to. Even when I was big I had small boobs. Post op day 12. Feeling tiny. Snatched waist. Super curvy now. Post op day 13. So you can see the shape and belly. In a sports bra the new boobs are huge. Post op day 19. Bandages came off. This is my incision line. Healing beautifully. The flakey stuff is the dried blood and glue used to seal the incision line. Just thought I would share some update pics. Took pics when I felt good. Not necessarily in a set order. -

He is amazing!!! And the staff is wonderful. Lol -
Just finished my first round of plastic surgery. I have an amazing nurse friend taking care of me. The plastic surgery team is the best in class. It was worth every penny and every minute I had to wait for it (my doc has an over year waiting list) and every bit of pain so far. You are all worth the effort this part of our journey entails. Everyone should be given the chance to experience this. Stats: Pre VSG weight 350 Day of VSG 320 Pre plastic weight 200 I had a breast augmentation and extended tummy tuck. Here are some post TT and augmentation pics. I know how important this is to see by pre bariatric patients, post bariatric, during stalls, when you're feeling down from the excess skin. We are all capable of this. We are all worthy of this!!! Once I'm a week out and get my drain I will post another pic...I'll keep updating this topic!

My next item is a brachioplasty. I want that badly. But first I need to recover from my breast augmentation and extended tummy tuck. -

Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Just mentally prepare yourself, then physically prepare. I researched the hell out of the process. Plus my doc snapchats a lot of his procedures if his patients give permission. Which I did. My friends and family were so uncertain and afraid for me. In order to be successful I also need my loved ones support. They were able to watch my procedure and see what I went through. My friend that came with me, got to watch while she waited to be let in to see me in recovery. The support I have received blows my mind everyday. And I have never once regretted my decision to commit to this surgical process. Good luck to you and all that read this. Hugs and much love!!! -

That's today. Post op day 4. I'm usually hunched over but I straightened up a bit for the pic. Here's another group pic I made. The itching is real. No phantom pain yet. But itching skin that is numb is frustrating and can be painful. I have also resolved myself to the fact the glue from the tape on the bandages will have to eventually wear itself off. I cannot get it off and my skin is irritated enough as it is. Lol. The best feeling though is when I go down for a nap and put the ice packs on top of my boobs. Lol -

I paid about $12,000 out of pocket. No help from insurance. But it was worth every sacrifice, every second of OT and all the saving. It can be done!! -

How many pounds was it? It was 12 pounds of skin. I don't remember how much fat was lipo'd out. Wow. That is amazing. I don't know how many pounds mine was but it was 72 cubic inches removed. Congrats!! -

The next round will be my arms at some point. The last will be my thighs. I'm doing really good. I'm up and walking every few hours. Tolerating my oral pain meds. Needed zofran a bit but I'm on strong pain meds. My friend is a rock star taking care of me. My doc did amazing and my recovery nurse was a saint.
