    Stalled for months

Does anyone have issues with severe stalls then gains? I was sleeved in December of last year quickly lost 78 then haven't lost basically a pound in 3 months and then now I actually gained 8 pounds. I strictly monitor my intake and am wondering if I am one of the sleeve failures now.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Stalled for months

I typically have a Protein shake each morning then a P3 for lunch and maybe another one for a snack then I'll have a small dinner of chicken or something similar. I do exercise (albeit not as much as I should) and I'm not taking any Vitamins as I though only bypass patients had to. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Actually no pain at all as far as incisions and surgery to, but the shoulder pain from the gas was rough for the first 8 hours or so after that it's called down quite a bit.
  5. Had my surgery on the 18th to with Dr Ortiz in TJ. To be honest I've had better attentive caring staff here then I've even had in the states. I was nervous at first but it's over now and they were all amazing. No just recouping in hospital for two days then the medicos floor of the hotel for two more days.
  6. Hi there I travel for a living and I'm having my survey on the 18, and I am supposed to fly on the 28 or 29th and I know people heal at different rates but I wanted to see how most felt after 10 days and see if they think they couldn't have handled a few 7 hours flights.
  7. Can I drink regular black caffeinated coffee during our pre op diet up to the three days of clear liquids only?

    Travel for a living and?

Extremely true and if you dare say that you're on a diet they definitely use X-ray vision to see how fat I am hahaha

    Travel for a living and?

Exactly I am basically all over SE Asia for roughly 7-8 months of the year and the rest of time somewhere in NA. I'm actually concerned to about the eating with clients and you know as well as me that's a deal sealer for us. I just figured I'd order soup and say that I have a bad stomach etc... Not sure what to say.

  14. Yes Amit's a good combination of excitement with a tad of fear... No so much of the fear of the surgery but more fear of the future and how hard this is going to be for sure.
  15. Im December 18th as well... Yes I'm nervous but that's to be expected and I just literally started my pre op diet and I don't mind the shakes so far. Hopefully everyone will have the best of experiences here like so many have????. Wishing all the best.

    Any December Sleever's?

I'm December 18 in TJ ???????????????????????? nervous but just trying to stay positive and only think of the benefits. I was "in turmoil" as when I told a great friend (same size as me) was promptly told I'm taking the easy road and cowards way out etc. Anyhow staying positive.

Thank you I appreciate the feedback. Definitely makes me feel better.
  19. I have found several websites for the VSG diet and meal plans for the first month. Does anyone recommend a good site to purchase the 30 (or more) days meal kit. I'm not overly worried of costs I just want the "convenience" of having no guesswork and to just follow a plan on paper so to speak. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thank you again.
  20. Thank you for all the information I'll buy a variety so i have enough for a week or so. Thank you again.
  21. Sounds good I haven't tried Rhodes I'll order a few and try to. I ordered a few from bariatric fusion and it tasted like I was eating chalk. I'm having mine done on the 18... Fun fun fun and now the nerves are kicking in.
  22. Good point I am having this done in Mexico and they actually sale the day 1-14 and 1-30 days meal kits themselves and I found many online and virtually all were the same. I was looking to try and find what most people prefer though.
  23. I'm having my sleeve on December 18, I'll be traveling to Mexico for the procedure. Does anyone have a list made of items to take with you? I have read take gas x, loose clothes, and bioptic spray to keep your throat moist and lastly Chapstick. Anything I'm missing please advise. Thank you
