I have struggled with my weight for most of my life.  I am father of 3 with our 4th arriving in a few months.  I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes about 15 years ago and have been insulin dependent for the last 3 years.  Also cholesterol, Diabetic Neuropathy, back, joint, and plenty of other problems.  I knew if I didn't do something I would never see my children graduate from high school much less grandchildren.  
 
I have dreamed about being able to pursue bariactric surgery for years but like many Americans I do not have health coverage.  I looked into traveling to Mexico but was very concerned that it would some back alley botch job.  I then had a couple of friends who went, one a RN,  and they both highly recommended it.... I decided to go for it!
 
I went through Tijuana Bariatrics and everyone from the coordinator, surgeon, and hospital were great. I am looking forward to the life changes.  I understand that bariatric surgery will not "fix" my weight problem, but will give me the boost to help me on this journey!
