I wanted the band at first too but my surgeon changed my mind when he told me more about the sleeve and less check up and no adjusting the band all the time and that you lose more with the sleeve

My surge is on Wednesday and I'm really nervous and have all these random thought going through my head with how I'm going to feel after the surgery with the purée food and pain . I'm anxious but really nervous about everything else .

My mom said she didn't really purer she just chewed it for a very long time . One little piece at a time . My surgery is next week and idk how purée is going to go for me I feel like it would make me nauseous eating my food in a liquid form

I feel like for you to lose that much without even working out is a lot

I'm on day 8 girl and it just got better yesterday

God bless you I thought my strawberry one was awful in the big bag but I just purchased the chocolate one from my doctor in the canister yesterday and it taste like hot cocoa so that one makes it better and I'm on day 7

Legally you don't know have to tell them that. At least in New York under the HIPA law . And employer doesn't need to know what exactly you're having surgery for .

I told only my immediate family like grandparents and three cousins and my parents obviously know. And my close friends .

My first three days were miserable, but I'm on day four and I'm doing so much better. You'll make it. I slept when I could, and I ate sugar free Jello. I feel like things got a lot easier today. Lucky . My hunger is gone but I'm having the worst gas and keep having to go to the bathroom .

I've always had headaches because of my sleep apnea but non like this. It's day five and it's just terrible and I had like 4 unsalted peanuts even thought I'm not suppose to but I felt like my head was hurting because I needed food or something . I wish I could take excedrin .. How is eating during stage 2 for the hospital ?

I was told not to use a straw as well because of the air and it could cause gas

It's getting better now but yesterday was the worst headaches I've had in a very long time . I know it's working because it's day four and I've lost 6 pounds What is everyone doing for the painful headaches? Tylenol or Motrin? Can you take meds at this point? Mine said if you have to take tylenol because it's not a blood thinner like the rest . But I would still ask your doctor .

I was wondering the same thing I'm on day three and right now my head is pounding so bad and I know it's because my body wants actual food ! Not broth and Popsicle sticks it's so frustrating especially when your head is pounding like crazy . And you're lucky I wish mine was like that . I should have asked my surgeon why is it some people only have to do like 1 or 2 days before . And the person who gave me the okay when to start didn't have me do the first day and was like it won't kill you . The week before is really most important where you have to be strict . So it's weird to me why it can't be at least one week

Mine said the same . But my moms told me from her experience they will close you back up if it's too big .

And I woke up with a headache what day are you on . I wish this diet was week . Even my doctor said the week before is most important and that's when you have to be extra strict

I've been craving Chinese food and idk why [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24] and I actually didn't have to do my first day because that's when I hit the insurance approval but it's still kind of like second day ( suppose to be third )

I had a question about sagging skin I'm 21 and 225 pounds and I'm having gastric sleeve in a little over a week and I wanted to know everyone's experience with their skin and if it started to sag or not or not . I was told that my skin probably wouldn't because I'm young and with weight training it should be find . ( mostly concerned with my arms )

My genetics are great and my mom had the surgery but she's a lot older and after that she had a lot of different tucks and lipo and never worked out so I don't want to be like that . Especially since I used to work out before . And I'm 5,2 my starting weight was 229 BMI of 41 my weight literally went down after my first weight in and I have extremely bad obstructive sleep apnea . My doctors office said I should weigh lowest 110 ( that's not ideal to me honestly though, that seems really low )

I have Anthem BCBS but when it comes to approvals it goes through whatever third party your job uses for insurance approvals . Which is what I learned while waiting for my approval .

Thank you . It's not that's it's so much as hard i think it's just the thought of you not being able to eat food . Because I don't eat that much anyway. But last night I had a dream about eating chocolate lmao. And my Meal Replacement powder is just not a good taste at all . The only thing helping me is that I can have sugar free Jello sugar free Popsicle sticks diet Snapple and crystal light . And I drink diet Snapple and crystal light all the time so it's really making me feel a lot better lol
