I ordered a pair from the amazon site and the plus size fit me big. I am wearing a size 16 plus at the time and the plus leggings fit me big. I would say the quality of the leggings is good for the price. I have been using them to sleep on cold days. I plan to order a another pair in regular size to compare. I have not tried LR brand yet since my body is still in transition I would not want to spend too much money on leggings. -

Every time i visit my in laws I get the "0h my is that all you are going to eat" from my mother in law. I tell her yes did you forget that my new stomach can only hold a few ounces of food. She tells me oh but it is so little, aren't you still hungry? ???? Then I give my husband a look and he tells her mom you are not listening. She is like well it is just odd to me that you eat so little, you look pale. Do you feel okay? ???? I say, I feel fine. I think you are having a hard time adjusting to me eating smaller portions. Don't worry you will get used to it. She says well maybe but you look a little pale. I say well I may look pale to you but I feel great. ???????? -

Try the bariatric advantage chewable calcium. Then chocolate flavor taste like a tootsie roll. The coconut flavor is also tasty. Anything liquid form is going to taste nasty. Regarding your workouts there are days you will feel more energetic than others. You are only a few weeks out so give it time. Everyone's body is different. I would get dizzy up until 4/5 months out. The surgery is a big adjustment to our bodies so dont be too hard on yourself. You are doing amazing! ???????? -

I take the Bariatric Advantage Multivitamin with Iron. They are the best. Yet, you should still use the chewable until you are cleared for regular pills. Sent from my SM-T210R using the BariatricPal App -

Taking pills, how far apart?
LMSWNYC replied to TiredOfMyself's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was told by my center to take chewable for three months post op. I never tried taking an entire pill. Tylenol i would crush. My mom purchased a pill crusher for me at the pharmacy which came in very handy. -

Ask your nutritionist or bariatric center for samples. They usually have plenty of samples -
Supplement and Protein Resources?
LMSWNYC replied to clevergirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I would recommend trying small batches because of different protein powders or ready prepared shakes. This will help you save money because after surgery your taste buds might change or certain supplements may not sit well. Even with the vitamins. Make sure you can tolerate them before you order in bulk. I use bariatric advantage vitamins and calcium. I also use the gnc lean shakes and gold standard 100% whey protein - vanilla icecream ???? flavor. I can add anything to it if i want to change the flavor. -

Stupid things people say when they find out you've had surgery....

I have lost 75 pounds and I am 10 months post-op. I have this one family member tell me I can really tell in your face you have lost weight. Thats where I can really tell. Really and where did the rest of my body fat go? I have dropped five dress sizes. ???? ???? How can one not notice that ! Another family member who is morbidly obese tells me I know you will give into temptation some day. It is in our blood - we cant control ourselves because we love food too much. ???? Reallly ? I make it a point to be very strict on my plan while around him because clearly he will try to sabotage my success. Other family members are super concerned with numbers and how much weight I have lost. It is really frustrating for me. Some I notice just want to see my progress like if I was a science experiment and they were going to make some type of hypothesis. ???????????? I have only told family and could only imagine the comments if I would have told co-workers. Mentally I could not deal with it. This has been a drastic change in my life and I am glad I kept my co-workers out if the dialogue. Some do suspect that I have had surgery but I really dont feel concerned about what they speculate. It was hard keeping it from family and I needed help especially the first month post op. IT WAS HARD - I had a very slow recovery and was very weak. So in the end we just have to keep in mind that we did this for ourselves and block out the negativity. Keep postive people and affirmations surrounding us. Take things one day at a time. ???????????? Enjoy the non-scale victories and Celebrate your accomplishments! ???????????? -

People will say things that will hurt our feelings. I always feel like many are just waiting for me to fail. I keep this in perspective when going out in groups because I know someone will make a negative comment. I did this for me and I dont regret my decision. So whatever they may say or not say I wont give them the satisfaction of paying mind to it. I am focusing on me for the first time in my life I am my first priority. -
