  8. I am wondering if I am eating too much . Generally I am with 900 -1100 calories per day. My nutritionist recommended i stay on 850 calories per day but i find this challenging. I feel very weak on 850 calories per day. I am wondering how many pounds you both have lost at 8 weeks and 3 months out? I am currently 11 weeks out and down 38 pounds. 9. Everyone's recovery is different. I was very weak and dizzy 2 weeks post op. After 4 weeks I was able to walk long distance. As for who to tell... I told my family and only those who i have a good relationship with. Other family members found out after my surgery but by that point i did not care about my extended family's thoughts or concerns or negativity. I also told a few friends and most have been supportive. I have only told me supervisor and two other people at work. Time to focus on me and shutdown any distractions from my goals. 10. I am 6 weeks post-op and was wondering if i am doing well with my caloric intake. I usually eat about 900-1000 calories a day for the past two weeks. Should I reduce my caloric intake ? I have not lost weight in two weeks and I am thinking this might be the reason. During stage 1 I was eating 500-600 calories a day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I was diagnosed with pcos and insulin resistance march of 2015. This is when i started metformin and it made me so sick i could not go to work for three days because i was in the bathroom non stop. It was horrible. I stayed on it for 9 months because i was hoping to get pregnant but that never happened. I had my vgs to help regulate my pcos symptoms and insulin resistance. I stopped metformin two days before surgery and as instructed by my surgeon have not taken it. I feel so much better without it. I am taking the natural inositol crystals in Water to help my ovaries restart their normal function. Inositol helps with insulin resistance and pcos. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Drink warm tea. It will help the gas move along. I found it more helpful than the gas x. I used raspberry, peppermint or chamomile tea. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. How long have you been trying or monitoring your ovulation ? I have pcos and have not ovulated in more than a year. This is the main reason why i decided to do my surgery. I would recommend seeing a fertility specialist and seeing what are your options. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. My surgery was on 2/17 and I am down 29 pounds included 10 pounds lost during pre-op diet. I am still experiencing dizzy spells usually in the morning and evenings. I feel very tired after work and do not have much energy for house chores once i get home. I basically pack my food for the next work day and get ready for bed. I am eating puree foods and 2 Protein skakes a day. I think my progress is good overall for 6 weeks post op. It feels so good to be able to control my portion size. 22. Gatorade really helps. I was dizzy almost every day after surgery and no energy and once i started drinking it i felt immediately better. The electrolytes really help to hydrate our bodies. I Am 5 weeks out and take at least 8-12 ounces a day. I mix it with my Water throughout the day, Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Stupid stalls!

I have had a stall for about two weeks now. I am only 5 weeks post op. My calorie range is between 650-850 each day. I am walking at least 30 min a day and I am not sure why there is no change. The only thing i can think of is that i am constipated. Any suggestions as to what i can do.? I am worried that my sleeve is not working or that i am doing something wrong. 25. Rubia take G2 (low calorie gatorade) it will help keep you hydrated and give you energy. Also try gas-x tablet extra strength. This will help with the gas. I also found that drinking warm tea helped move the gas. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
