A New KK

I am 56 years old and found my self barely able to walk.  I had a car accident years ago and between the disc problems in my neck from that and the weight I found it increasingly harder to walk and I refused to be one of those overweight people hauling themselves around on an electric scooter.  A friend had had gastric bypass surgery 10 years ago and she put a bug in my ear a couple of months ago but the final straw was when my father suggested I try surgery.  He said he had buried a wife due to her weight related health issues and did not want to bury a daughter.  I was touched by his concern but mortified at the same time and made my initial consultation right after that.
