Sleeved 12/17.. Beyond over the liquids. Trying to put on a good face at my house since this is something I wanted but my god. I feel like I'm going to turn into a liquid . Can't stand the taste of any soup anymore and I just want real food. I start my purée on Thursday so hopefully that will make life better lol. I got to have cream soup while my family had a turkey dinner on Christmas . ???????????? sorry for the vent. Just needed to say this somewhere where people would understand

Same here. I was sick as a dog in the hospital and was actually asking my mom why I did this and if I can take it back but by day 3 I was good. Nausea was still a little bit there but other than that I felt fine.

I'm 28 5'3 and weighed 240 when I started this journey. I've lost 32 lbs so far and my skin doesn't feel saggy at all. My boobs are a little droopy but that's what a good bra is for lol. Your young skin has more elasticity in it and you should not have much extra skin if any. Try using vitamin e oil . That helps.

Top is 12/3 when I started the preop diet and the bottom is today. 31 lbs down and lost 20 inches total!!

Merry Christmas !! I just had a question.. I have noticed that since my surgery (12/17) that my face has completely exploded in pimples.I usually have beautiful skin and rarely any break outs. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the surgery. Has anyone noticed increased breakouts since the surgery?

Glad you are doing well the gas pain will pass in time ! I had trouble the first couple of days with my liquids in too.

Hey everyone!! soo i had my surgery on thursday 12/17 and i am doing everything i can do to get my 64oz Fluid in, let alone 60 grams of Protein, it's harder than i thought it would be, So I am doing my best but i have a question. I am SOOO nervous about losing my hair. I am getting married in october and i dont want to lose enough hair where i can't do an updo yah no? so i'm curious. Has anyone lost hair since their surgery, if so how much?

Good luck with everything ❤️ a few things to remember or know(things I didnt) you are more than likely going to wake up in SERIOUS pain bc of the gas and very nauseous. You may even throw up( I did) you may even think to yourself why did I do this. How can I take it back ( I did) but remember this pain and nausea is short lived. I am already beginning tot feel like myself again. I'm not trying to scare you but I wasn't told any of the bad sides to the surgery so I want to make anyone aware of the possibilities. Don't be afraid to ask for pain meds and anti nausea meds. WALK WALK WALK. Give it a day or 2 after your surgery and you will start to remember why you did and be thankful that you did. Good luck with everything you will do awesome !Sorry for asking on someone else's post, but your reply caught my attention. You said that you had serious pain, what was hurting? Was it the incisions, or could you feel pain at your stomach pouch? Just curious, this has been one of my questions all along. I am having surgery on Dec 28.My apologies for asking questions on someone else's post, I am pretty new to this forum stuff. Don't be sorry that's what we are all here for ! The serious pain comes from the gas that they put into your abdomen to expand the surgical field. Of course my stomach hurt but it was the gas that really was the uncontrolled part mainly bc there isn't much to be done besides release the gas. Pain meds don't affect it but as long as you walk as soon as possible you wil move the gas faster.ndont be too worried about the pain, it's a normal thing for this surgery but honestly it goes by so quickly that you won't even have time to remember the pain. I am 4 days out and spent my day wrapping presents. My pain is almost pretty much eliminated at this point. Hope everything works out and good luck on your surgery

Walk walk walk. I honestly tried to burp as much as possible to get rid of all the gas but walking was the best thing to do

Your incisions are healing. Unfortunately that's one of the down falls of healing incisions. I had surgery on my neck 2 months ago and my scar is still itching as if it was day one. Try some vitamin e oil and run on belly and scars( if the incisions are fully healed of course) that may help some

Yeah I would expect it's because you drank during your meal. Unfortunately from what I understand that rule is for the rest of our lives. You just over packed your stomach. Just try to watch next time. I wouldn't sweat it too much. I doubt you did any damage. I puked my guts up 4 hours after surgery and didn't pop any staples so I'm sure you will be okay, but of course if you are concerned always reach out to your doctor

Clothes are made so differently these days. Try not to let it discourage you. Make sure you are trying on different styles from different companies.

5 days out... I have thought what the hell did I do? I struggled until they where wheeling me into the or. I'm struggling in this liquid diet. I so tired of just liquid!! I feel ya!! I hear it gets better! Completely understand how you feel. Still having pain but it will subside. Just follow what the doctor says, don't be afraid to take your pain meds and you will heal. Everyone heals at different paces. You just may take a little longer than most. But keep at you. You will be just fine

First 2 days were a nightmare. So much pain from the gas and nausea like you wouldn't believe. Spent the whole day after the surgery with my head in an bucket to put it nicely. Actually got sick during my swollow test. Now I'm home on day 3 and I'm feeling so much better! Still have pain (they gave me an ice bag to put on my stomach which is literally a savior) I haven't met any of my liquid goals yet but I don't think they expect you to. I got sick once today but it was my own fault. I forgot for 5 mins i just lost a portion of my stomach and took too big of a drink of water. If you get sick, don't let it discourage you. It's not going to last forever ! Good luck !!

Ohhhhh. So that's what that is. I just had my surgery on the 17ty and noticed that I salivate a lot more than normal. I didn't even realize it could be connected with my surgery. Thanks for that clarification

I just had my surgery on 12/17 so I haven't stated losing from the surgery yet, just the pre op diet (down 20lbs) I am so excited to have to buy a NEW wedding dress in single digits before my wedding in October. I already have my dress in a size 18 and hopefully I will have lost too much weight that they can't alter the dress or they will ruin the integrity of it. I can't wait to feel beautiful in my wedding dress!! Whoever hasn't had the surgery yet good luck and you will do awesome !!

I just had my surgery on thursday (12/17) and as sooon as i woke up i was in tears begging my mom, why did i do this. I regretted it so much because of the pain. I started vomiting and it made the regret so much worse!! But now I am home and I am started to feeel like myself again and am so happy i did this. just remember, it's normal to feel regret but don't let it consume you. You will get past it and you will do awesome!

I had my surgery and the doctor said it was a complete success . I'm waiting to go for my upper GI to make sure there are no leaks.what I'm questioning is that, I know the gas pain is horrific and of course my stomach is going to be sore, but i have thrown up 4 times since I've been placed in my room. Everyone is its normal I'm just curious to know if anyone had the same side effect after the surgery. They are all saying the first 24 hours are the worst

My bags are all packed and ready to go! Have to be at the hospital at 5:30 so no sleep for this girl !! I am so nervous !! Surgery at 830am. I'll let you know how it all goes!!!

I am so discouraged. My surgery was denied. It's scheduled for a week tomorrow. (Dec 17) I am hoping the doctors office some how gets this approved but I am so upset. I've already a week into my liquid diet and down 12 lbs and 7 inches and all I want in my life is to continue this path and I'm going to be so devastated if if doesn't get approved. I need to have surgery before Jan 1st because my out of pocket is met so there will be no money out of pocket for me. I can't afford it next year my OOP is 3750 and I'm getting married in October. I just don't have the money. I'm so heartbroken. Sorry for the complaining. I just needed to vent to people who understand.
