I have hypothyroidism and was banded on Nov. 27th, 2008 Appx 5 months ago. I have lost a total of 91 lbs. thus far. I have found success with low carb/high protein foods. I don't think that the hypothytoidism has in any way inhibitited my weight loss. Congratulations on your weight loss and good luck.

Typically the incision sight is not where your port is. My port is just above my belly button on my left side about an inch or two below and to the left of the biggest incision. Check with your surgeon about where your port is.

How Many Calories Do You Consume On An AVERAGE Day?

I am glad you did this thread. I was banded on 11/28/2007 and have currently lost 51 lbs. but during the past 10 days it seems the scale has not moved. I went on vacation and only excercised 2 days out of 7. I am very upset about the lack of weightloss. Someone at a support group meeting said you should not be plat. this soon. Is there something wrong with me? First I though it was the lack of excercise and then I someone told me that I was not eating enough calories. I am so confused. Any suggestions? I average about 500 calories, 28 carbs (18 carbs from 1 pack of sugar free oatmeal), 11 g fat, and 40 g protein. I will do anything to reach my goal? VERY FRUSTRATED. -
No maybe I typed it wrong. The one that I eat from walmart has no sugar but still has carbs.

I also eat the walmart sugar free maple and brown sugar flavor but I just noticed that it has 18g of carbs. No sugars and no sugar alcohols. I'm hoping someone knows, Are these considered "good Carbs" and if not should we be eating these?
